“The migration of our politics online has created a perverse incentive structure,” said David Brog, founding president of the foundation behind the annual National Conservatism Conference. “If you voice anti-Israel and antisemitic views, you get an instant reward in the form of clicks, likes and follows. This fuels the fallacy that the activist base of the party shares these views.”

@JimPlumDFS@JoelWebbon Kennedy had big enemies. The Soviet Union. Cuba. The Mafia. But you’re convinced – without any evidence – that the Joos did it. What does this tell you about yourself?
@MaxNordau He also refuses to acknowledge that the complete opposite is true. The Israeli government repeatedly warned us not to invade Iraq.

My response to Brett Stephens in @eJPhil. He's absolutely right that it's a waste of time to try to persuade the haters. He's terribly wrong to recommend that we surrender the public square to them.

@GSDeutch “He knows better. He is the vice president of the United States now. He doesn’t need to please the confused young groypers,” @DavidKBrog told Jewish Insider.
“He needs to step up, lead and teach them the right path forward.”

Tucker quotes the Hebrew Bible he disparages to lecture the Jews about the universal morality they invented. At least the IDF is in the good company of Churchill and Bonhoeffer on his enemies list.
"While Carlson supported the Iraq War in 2003, the Israeli government most certainly did not...They repeatedly warned the Bush administration that invading Iraq would be a disaster."

According to @TuckerCarlson we went to war in Iraq "at the behest" of Israel. The exact opposite is true. We launched this war despite Israel's repeated warnings to the contrary.

If there's one thing that unites all of us in the America First camp, it's our belief that the Iraq War was a tragic waste of blood and treasure which must never be repeated. So if you'd like to convince America Firsters to oppose Israel, there's no stronger argument than claiming that Israel pushed us into that terrible mistake. But it's just not true -- if anything the exact opposite is true -- and anyone who was following the debate at the time (like @TuckerCarlson) knows this perfectly well.
Israel's critics note that Bibi Netanyahu came out in support of the war. He did. But Bibi wasn't Israel's prime minister back then. He wasn't even in the government. Israel's prime minister in the run up to the Iraq War was Ariel Sharon. And it was was common knowledge that Sharon and his government were deeply worried about Bush's war plans. They believed that Iran was a far greater threat than Iraq. And they feared that taking out Saddam would remove the greatest obstacle to Iran's regional ambitions.
As an ally dependent on a friendly American administration, Sharon didn't voice his criticism in public. Instead, he and his top advisors repeatedly expressed their concerns to their American counterparts behind closed doors. But nothing stays secret in Washington for long. Israel's warnings were the subject of stories in major outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times. We all knew where Israel stood. We ultimately went to war in Iraq despite Israel's concerns, not because of them.
May your memory be a blessing and an inspiration, Charlie. Your killer meant to silence you and everyone who shares your views. We owe it to you to speak out more.
