Last weekend ASEAN risked that Min Aung Hlaing might do what he actually did – use the Summit as a propaganda ploy. Indeed, he tried to appear to be what he is not - a legitimate leader. The good news: Those who ARE legitimate are ready to engage: the National Unity Government.
By inviting Myanmar's dictator to their meeting, @ASEAN is rejecting the voices of the #Myanmar people.
#ASEAN--stop recognizing the SAC.
They are a genocidal government.
They will cause major environmental damage that will impact the entire the region.

General Min Aung Hlaing is responsible for crimes against humanity and belongs in handcuffs. He should be arrested under universal jurisdiction if he leaves #Myanmar. The National Unity Government should be invited to ASEAN summit instead. https://t.co/HStUEUdpZV
