@DustinDoesPoker I like 2. Problem with 1 is you have to give time for kids to take multiple visits. Could potentially shorten it though, just think 3 days is too short.
@AaronCovington New game, new time of day, and coming back from 7 month break not the ideal situation, but really excited to be back streaming with a new challenge to take on!
@TylerP_Poker Biggest concern is there is varying advice from accountants being shared publicly, which tells me there isn’t even a consistent opinion from professionals on how to handle the tax change. This is why I’m very hesitant to play online in 2026 at the moment.
If the 2026 Gambling Tax change is not repealed, I will not be playing online poker next year.
Scenario:
Wins: $2,100,000
Losses: $2,000,000
Income: $100,000
Wins: $2,100,000
Losses (90%): $1,800,000
Taxable Income: $300,000
How can you tax Americans on money we didn't earn!?
Earlier this year the BS Budget Bill reduced the tax deduction for gambling losses to 90%.
In response, I introduced the FAIR BET Act to restore the commonsense 100% tax deduction to protect professional and recreational gamblers. I was the first in Congress to introduce this fix and haven’t stopped garnering support from members and stakeholders since.
In fact, the #FAIRBETAct has up to 21 bipartisan co-sponsors with @RepEzell most recently joining!
It is now critical for @WaysandMeansGOP to add this bill to the legislative calendar before the year ends. We must get this fixed.
Personal opinion on streaming is it hurts your results both when playing on stream and off stream since there is recent content available showing opponents how you play.
With that said, definitely possible to have the results you want while playing on stream, just more difficult. The best players are more likely to maintain high performing results while streaming than I am.
@JambasketPoker @DominicChoma I’m sure I’ve donated enough money to you on the tables over the years JamBasket to cover the live band and catering costs ❤️
@JimSebcoe Appreciate the message Sebcoe! Unfortunately I don’t think I’m capable of playing without trying my best, too competitive for that 😂
Could do a few tournament streams in the future but at the moment I have no interest in playing tournaments. I go through stages with them though
@da_tank2021 After I stopped streaming I decided to no longer share results so going to stay consistent with that. Playing off stream has definitely helped my results, which was to be expected.
@Draxyr Hello! Not sure how recent this was from but I do tend to bet more frequently with the flush draw blocker than without, but in the past I did do it the other way around as mentioned.
If you bet more frequently with the combos with a flush draw blocker I believe you’re correct.
