Nowadays, it's quite acceptable, even fashionable, for Catholics to oooh and aaah when they look at a flourishing monastery like Le Barroux or a flourishing Ecclesia Dei institute and say: "Isn't that beautiful? The fruit of obedience to the Church!"
They're right to oooh and aaah. These things *are* beautiful. And they are fruits of real sacrifice.
But what they seem not to realize is that for years, for decades even, Catholics had to fight tooth and nail to achieve these goods, against resistance at all levels from the "spirit of Vatican II" ideologues—and in not a few cases, the origins of these now-flourishing entities were priests and religious who openly rebelled against the new liturgy and the new "orientations" and were even routinely punished for it.
These people fought not only for liturgy, but for sound catechesis and orthodox preaching. They were willing to risk their necks, their jobs, their official status, their "permissions," to hold fast to what they knew should never be discarded.
As time went on, some of these irregular communities were reconciled with their local bishops or with the Vatican (with more or less favorable terms). By the time we got to Benedict XVI and certainly by the time of Francis, there was a whole new population of TLM attendees who barely knew this history—who barely know why tradition has hung on so stubbornly in the face of every force aligned against it.
History has vindicated the courage of these early "rebels" of the 1970s, from whom so many good fruits emerged: Benedictine monks and nuns (Le Barroux, Flavigny), the Dominicans of St. Vincent Ferrer, the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter and the Institute of the Good Shepherd, and quite a few diocesan TLMs.
We need, YOU need, to know the history of the movement, in all its complexity, its heroic and tragic figures, its ups and downs, and the crooked lines with which God has written straight, if you want to be a serious part of the conversation.

For those that still don’t understand what Benghazi was all about:
🚨So here's the REAL story:
Ambassador Stevens was sent to Benghazi to secretly retrieve US made Stinger Missiles that the State Dept had supplied to Ansar al Sharia in Libya WITHOUT Congressional oversight or permission.
Sec State Hillary Clinton had brokered the Libya deal through Ambassador Stevens and a Private Arms Dealer named Marc Turi, but some of the shoulder fired Stinger Missiles ended up in Afghanistan where they were used against our own military. On July 25th, 2012, a US Chinook helicopter was downed by one of them. Not destroyed only because the idiot Taliban didn't arm the missile. The helicopter didn't explode, but it had to land and an ordnance team recovered the missile’s serial number which led back to a cache of Stinger Missiles kept in
Qatar by the CIA.
Obama and Hillary were in full panic mode, so Ambassador Stevens was sent to Benghazi to retrieve the rest of the Stinger Missiles. This was a "do-or-die" mission, which explains the Stand Down Orders given to multiple rescue teams during the siege of the US Embassy.
It was the State Dept, NOT the CIA, that supplied the Stinger Missiles to our sworn enemies because Gen. Petraeus at CIA would not approve supplying the deadly missiles due to their potential use against commercial aircraft. So then, Obama threw Gen. Petraeus under the bus when he refused to testify in support of Obama’s phony claim of a “spontaneous uprising caused by a YouTube video that insulted Muslims.”
Obama and Hillary committed TREASON!
THIS is what the investigation is all about, WHY she had a Private Server, (in order to delete the digital evidence), and WHY Obama, two weeks after the attack, told the UN that the attack was the result of the YouTube video, even though everyone KNEW it was not.
Furthermore, the Taliban knew that the administration had aided and abetted the enemy WITHOUT Congressional oversight or permission, so they began pressuring (blackmailing) the Obama Administration to release five Taliban generals being held at Guantanamo.
Bowe Bergdahl was just a useful pawn used to cover the release of the Taliban generals. Everyone knew Bergdahl was a traitor but Obama used Bergdahl’s exchange for the five Taliban generals to cover that Obama was being coerced by the Taliban about the unauthorized Stinger Missile deal.
So we have a traitor as POTUS that is not only corrupt, but compromised, as well and a Sec of State that is a serial liar, who perjured herself multiple times at the Congressional Hearings on Benghazi. Perhaps this is why no military aircraft were called upon for help in Benghazi: because the administration knew that our enemies had Stinger Missiles that, if used to down those planes, would likely be traced back to the CIA cache in Qatar and then to the State Dept’s illegitimate arms deal in Libya.
Forward this again and again and again until everyone reads the true story of Benghazi.

Machiavelli understood a profound truth about human subjugation: men are rarely destroyed by sudden, violent assaults. They are systematically dismantled by what they tolerate over time. Modern leftism operates as a psychological apparatus designed to force individual surrender through quiet endurance. Most policy, cultural campaign, and moral lectures relies on nine distinct mechanisms of political manipulation. Leftists rely entirely on your compliance, expecting you to negotiate away your sovereignty to keep the peace. Ending this compliance requires recognizing these nine levers for what they truly represent and dismantling them with cold, calculated precision.
Do not tolerate the following:
First, consider the weaponized moral debt. Leftist architects reach into history or public spending to claim you owe permanent obedience for modern infrastructure or social safety nets. They present a receipt for benefits you never individually requested, demanding political compliance as interest. A real benefit is granted and released. Leftist social contracts are designed to keep you perpetually indebted to the state. Reclaim your ground with calm clarity: express gratitude for civilization while delivering an absolute refusal to yield your individual rights.
Second, examine the frozen version of reality. Leftist moralizers perpetually anchor their opponents to past errors or historical transgressions. They drag out old mistakes because controlling a frozen, guilty caricature remains far easier than debating a thriving, sovereign citizen. Cancel culture relies entirely on this mechanism. Machiavelli recognized that those seeking dominance keep a man chained to his worst moment to prevent his ascension. Decline the outdated role completely. Declare that the past is settled and remain firmly rooted in your present power.
Third, observe the endless ranking system. Leftism relies on intersectionality to construct a perpetual scoreboard of grievance and privilege. You are continuously measured against moving standards designed to ensure you always come up short. This endless comparison represents raw power dynamics disguised as equity. The finish line moves the moment you approach it, guaranteeing endless psychological submission. Step off their track entirely. Refuse to compete in a race you never agreed to run.
(Note: Intersectionality is the interconnected nature of social categorizations such as race, class, and gender as they apply to a given individual or group, regarded as creating overlapping and interdependent systems of discrimination or disadvantage. So, in short, they use these things to divide us so simply don't take part in their games)
Fourth, confront unasked volunteering. Collectivists routinely pledge your labor, income, and future to ideological projects without your consent. They spend national resources on grand utopian schemes and label you selfish if you decline to foot the bill. Machiavelli noted that authority begins with complete control over one's own assets. When the regime commits your wealth and legacy without asking, return the obligation directly to them. State clearly that you were never consulted, rendering you unable to comply.
Fifth, expose institutional triangulation. Regime media and academic elites insert themselves directly between citizens, controlling information flow and editing truth to provoke division. By shaping every message before it reaches the public, they maintain absolute narrative authority. Cut through the middleman entirely. Ignore regime curators and engage directly with reality and your fellow citizens at the source.
Sixth, witness the punishment of individual achievement. The leftist apparatus becomes perceptibly colder whenever an individual excels independently of state reliance. Excellence, wealth creation, and traditional success threaten a system built on collective dependency. Leftist culture demands that you shrink your success to avoid offending the mediocre. Machiavelli observed that envy is the ultimate political driver among the stagnant. Refuse to perform smallness. Allow your success to exist at its full magnitude and let their envy remain their burden.
Seventh, dismantle the rewritten story. Leftism relies heavily on Orwellian historical revisionism, demanding that you deny basic biology, economic realities, and lived history to maintain ideological harmony. They force a false narrative onto reality and label you radical for trusting your own intellect. Hold your version of reality quietly and firmly without seeking their approval.
Eighth, reject the override emergency. The Left thrives on perpetual, manufactured crises, ranging from climate panic to engineered social emergencies. These crises arrive precisely when public resistance grows, forcing immediate surrender of rights under the guise of urgent necessity. Machiavelli understood that tyrants manufacture threats to extract power that citizens would never surrender in peaceful times. Separate real challenges from regime leverage tactics. Address genuine issues while keeping your political boundaries strictly intact.
Ninth, annihilate the core delusion of collective ownership. Underneath all eight tactics lies a single foundational belief: the leftist state believes it owns you. They believe your time, labor, legacy, and mind belong to the collective. Every tyrannical policy stems from this denial of individual sovereignty. Machiavelli drew a sharp line between a subject and a free man. A subject permits others to govern his life, whereas a free man claims absolute authority over his own destiny. Revoke their claim completely. Make your choices without asking permission, act as an independent sovereign, and force the regime to face an unyielding individual.
The entire architecture of leftist control hinges on a single, fragile assumption: your continued submission through guilt, habit, or fear. The moment you stand firm, reject their manufactured debts, and honor your own intellect, their authority dissolves into irrelevance. Power belongs exclusively to those bold enough to claim it. Stop asking for permission from a system that views you as property. Stand as an unyielding, sovereign force, and watch their entire illusion crumble.

I cannot remain silent on this.
The Pope’s decision to do this now, right as Europe is witnessing yet another wave of murders of its citizens by migrants (think of Louis, Christian, Henry, and the countless others) cannot be dismissed as a mere public relations blunder.
It is a painful slap in the face of the Christian native peoples of Europe and all those who lost their children and loved ones as a result of mass migration.
Where is the Church’s charity and compassion toward them?
Why do we not hear a word from the Pope about the 250,000 white British girls who were raped?
Why do we not hear a word about the attacks on Europe’s Churches and Christian communities?
Why do we not hear a word about the millions of Europeans who are unsafe and estranged, fast becoming a minority in their own homelands?
The Church’s silence regarding the threats European Christians face is already deafening. Combining it with telling Europeans that they must do more to “integrate and protect migrants”, is adding insult to injury.
As a new Catholic, I have generally tried to refrain from critiquing the Pope, for we do not lightly challenge the father. This, however, is not a matter of dogma or infallible teaching. The Pope has chosen to make a political and pastoral statement on migration, and on such prudential questions the faithful may legitimately form and express their own judgment.
And my opinion on this is clear: Europe does not have a moral obligation to house the entire world, especially not when it comes at the cost of civilizational destruction.
Lt. Col. (ret.) David Sonnier writes at The Remnant about how just-war theory is not only *not* outdated, but more important than ever, and should be taught well at all levels of the military—something that has not been the case for a long time now, given how inconvenient it is to special interests.

I'm excited to tell you about Os Justi's newest release, a book we've been working hard on for many months—𝑅𝑖𝑡𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑊𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑔𝑠: 𝑂𝑛𝑒 𝑀𝑎𝑛'𝑠 𝑆𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑔𝑔𝑙𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐿𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑛 𝑀𝑎𝑠𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑈.𝑆. 𝐴𝑟𝑚𝑦.
By the 1970s, the traditional Latin Mass barely existed anywhere except in memory. Even a decade after Pope John Paul II’s landmark 1988 document 𝐸𝑐𝑐𝑙𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑎 𝐷𝑒𝑖 in which he asked bishops throughout the Church to respect the “rightful aspirations” of those requesting the Latin Mass, the majority of American Catholics either didn’t know about it or could do nothing to move their inflexible pastors.
David Sonnier, a 1981 West Point graduate, loved the Army and worked to be a model soldier. A bend in his career path brought him into contact for the first time with the traditional Mass. His life, with that of his family, was changed forever.
Sonnier began to work within the system to obtain access to the old rite for servicemembers and their families. He watched in disbelief as, over the course of six years of respectful petitioning, military Catholic chaplains repeatedly lied and dissembled, pulling every possible string to ensure that the Latin Mass would never be said on any military base. Indeed, these chaplains vituperated anyone remotely interested in any aspect of Catholic tradition and worked to undermine the Church's authority from within.
A true story from a dark period, Sonnier's gripping memoir ranges through the world of the Colombian Army, Special Operations, Fort Bragg, NATO, and the Vatican. It lifts a curtain on the offices of generals from the 1990s such as Jack Keane, Peter Schoomaker, David Weisman, and Earnie Callender. It shares memoranda that have to be seen to be believed. It includes sound advice from Michael Davies for those suffering under hostile bishops, and ends with recommendations for improving the lives of Catholics in the U.S. military.
Though current or retired servicemembers and lovers of military history will especially appreciate this memoir, 𝑅𝑖𝑡𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑊𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑔𝑠 is a captivating read for any Catholic who relishes a story full of life-changing realizations, backroom intrigues, surprising reversals, and hard-earned wisdom.

Archbishop Héctor Aguer Accuses the Freemason Bugnini
“Archbishop Héctor Aguer, Archbishop Emeritus of La Plata, Argentina, in an opinion article published at the beginning of this week, praised the resurgence of the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM) among young people, while once again stating that Archbishop Annibale Bugnini, one of the main architects of the Novus Ordo Missae, was a Freemason.
“The crowds of young people who revived the traditional Paris-Chartres pilgrimage have attracted a great deal of attention, with an average age of 22. It is a recovery of Catholic tradition, which had been stifled in those countries by liberalism, progressivism, and atheism.”
Archbishop Aguer emphasized that the Traditional Latin Mass dates back to the 7th and 8th centuries and explained how this form of the Mass “is directed to the glory of the Triune God, to whom it offers the Sacrifice of Jesus.” He then went on to describe how a new Mass was created after the Second Vatican Council.
“The (traditional Latin) Mass defined Catholicism from the Council of Trent until Vatican II. During the pontificate of Paul VI, who succeeded the brief pontificate of John XXIII, a new Mass was invented. Some modifications could have been introduced to the ‘Traditional Mass,’ as had been done throughout its centuries of existence. But no; the Second Vatican Council sought to renew everything, and it was intended that a new Mass would emerge from its spirit. Always valid, without a doubt; but not free of ambiguities that were left to the discretion of the celebrants.”
He accuses Archbishop Bugnini of being a Freemason: “The author of the new Mass was Archbishop Annibale Bugnini, recognized as a Mason according to irrefutable documents, although secret in keeping with the nature of Freemasonry.”
“In the New Mass, the priest stands facing the faithful; biblical readings are multiplied and, over time, several Eucharistic Prayers were authorized that recreate the single canon of the ‘Traditional Mass.’ It seems that, in the Mass of Paul VI and Bugnini, the priest celebrating the rite must strive to direct himself to God and ensure that the faithful are not confused.”
“Pilgrimages such as Paris-Chartres, and those of Rawson-Luján (Argentina), Oviedo-Covadonga (Spain), Rome-Subiaco (Italy), and others that are emerging here and there, tell us of something undeniable: orthodoxy and Tradition are in good health and are a guarantee for the future.””

Israel is now openly ordering the displacement of two major Lebanese cities: Tyre &Nabatiyeh.
Not border villages. Entire urban centres filled with civilians, hospitals, schools & refugee camps.
They call them “evacuation orders.”
In reality, it is the forced emptying of southern Lebanon under the threat of annihilation.
The message is simple: leave or die.
At some point, people need to stop pretending this is about “security” & start confronting what it increasingly looks like: the clearing of land for long-term expansionist aims.

The announcement by President Trump about the potential peace deal is very good news.
To make the deal effective we have to be realistic about Israel.
We must recognize that a peace deal of any kind with the Iranian regime will be viewed by Israelis as an existential threat to their objectives, therefore they will seek to thwart the deal.
To stop the Israelis from thwarting a potential peace deal, we will have to take away the military support that we provide that allows them to go on the offensive against Iran, and make it clear more will be taken from them if they attack Lebanon.
I've lived in KY-04 my entire life and closely follow the election results here. There is no way that the turnout legitimately doubled. This was election fraud carried out by the highest levels of our state & federal governments.
