I will guide you on what you ought to do with your demands one at a time;

1.Immediate audit of all road construction zones in Uganda

ACTION: Get a headed paper of the NRM Vice Chairperson (Eastern Region) and write to the Minister of Works & Transport and clearly indicate what you want to be the scope of the audit and how soon you want the report. Don’t forget to copy the President (NRM Chairman).

2.Mandatory compliance with international road safety standards

ACTION: Get your headed paper and write to the Inspector General of Police and ask him to elucidate the @PoliceUg strategy and action geared towards ensuring compliance to road safety standards and stamp out corruption in the traffic police. Also ask him to give you examples of where traffic police has brought errant road contractors to book for criminal neglect and related offences.

Don’t forget to cite for him which standards you are referring to and sending a copy to the President and Speaker of @Parliament_Ug

3.Arrest and prosecution of negligent officials and contractors

ACTION: Since you seem to have information on many other negligent officials and contractors, pick a phone and call the IGP or RPC of a particular region and ask for manpower to go and have these negligent officials arrested in full view of the cameras. I will personally gift you a Teso cock.

4.A national road safety task force to monitor and enforce safety protocols

ACTION: Move this into the Recycle Bin of your brain. This cowntry under the @NRMOnline rule has never been short of institutions nor laws. Simply demand a functioning @PoliceUg. At least be different from your Chairman who duplicates the work of each Government MDA with a unit in @StateHouseUg.
