🎉 Celebrating 3 Years of Azuki – My Journey in Web3

Three years ago, I embarked on a life-changing journey into Web3. Those were some of the most exciting and intense days of my life grinding, creating art, and hustling to support NFT projects. Together with @HatoETH, we poured all the resources we had at the time into contributing to these blue-chip ventures.

But among all those projects, @Azuki holds the most special place in my heart. Despite the ups and downs, my love for Azuki has only grown stronger. The Azuki community feels like a second family, and I’m forever grateful to be part of it.

The Beginning: Earning Azuki WL
Three years ago, during Azuki’s final days of WL allocation, @daphtheSHAFT gifted me a WL spot. That moment remains one of my happiest memories. Even though Daph isn’t as active in Web3 now, I still follow her on Instagram and occasionally catch up. She’ll always hold a special place in my heart (not in a romantic way), but as someone who laid the foundation for my Web3 journey.

I minted my first Azuki NFT for 0.5 ETH, and the floor price shot up to 2.6 ETH the next day. Our group ended up with 3 Azuki NFTs at the time. When it revealed, my OG Azuki was a clean female, and I loved it deeply. That Azuki accompanied me through nearly every milestone of my Web3 journey.

Unforgettable Moments
One of the most iconic moments was @Zagabond legendary line: “Check your wallets.” That’s when we received “Something,” which turned out to be @BEANZOfficial .

I remember holding 4 Beanz before the reveal and deciding to sell one to buy a @MFTMKKUS . Turns out, the Beanz I sold was a Spirit. I was devastated for a week and vowed never to sell NFTs before a reveal again. Lesson learned.

Highs and Lows
Azuki’s floor price eventually climbed to nearly 35 ETH before the first FUD hit. I stayed loyal, thinking, “If there’s only one person left standing with Zagabond, it’ll be me.” I held through until Azuki recovered and thrived again.

Then came Azuki Elementals. Many criticized it, saying it diluted Azuki’s value or had an unreasonable mint price. But to me, it felt like a strategic move sometimes, a king must sacrifice for greater growth.

A Difficult Decision
During the downtrend, my friends and I were building a project, but we were hacked. It was a challenging time, and I had to sell my OG Azuki to keep life going.

Now, I’m back in the Azuki community through Azuki Elementals. I see things more clearly: Elementals are for people like me those returning to the community with limited resources, ready to start again.

The Future: My Azuki Journey Continues
After the upcoming @animecoin airdrop, I plan to use the funds to buy back an OG Azuki and continue this journey with the Azuki family.
