Understanding God's unconditional love and acceptance (Part1)
God loved us unconditionally, and the whole world by the way, (John 3:16-17) before we responded to His love for us. His unconditional love is based upon His never changing, loving nature. We may not have had a great loving relationship with our earthly father; however, God's ways are not man’s ways (Isaiah 55:8). He has accepted us as His own, His love is perfect towards us, and He will never fail us.
God's unconditional love -
Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Psalm 139:13-18 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.
1John 4:16 We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.

So, who am I anyway? (Part2)
Redefining who we are -
We are not defined by our past, our present circumstance of life, or how others may see us. God chose us to be His own and placed great value on us by giving His Only Son so that we could be reconciled and adopted into His family. As a result, we are now called His sons and daughters, and we are part of the family of God.
We are identified as sons and daughters -
Romans 8:14-17 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
John 1:12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.
God chose us and adopted us into His family
We are not alone. We were chosen and adopted by God as His own, without fault and part of God’s loving family.
Ephesians 1:4-5 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.

So, who am I anyway?
Now that everything has changed and is new for us (2 Corinthians 5:17) it can be difficult and confusing when it comes to understanding who and what we are to identify with. Now that we are now sons and daughters what does that look like on a day to day basis? How does that realistically work itself out in our lives?

The lie of a works-based religion
God Himself chose us, called us, and saved us through His unconditional loving nature by sending His Son Jesus to come to earth, live a sinless life which He sacrificed and gave in exchange for ours. The work of salvation, the complete process of maturity in our lives and the hope for our future home in heaven where we will be with Him forever all began with, is sustained by, and is completed, in Him (Philippians 1:6). #soulcarelifecoaching

So, where do I begin? A new life in Christ
We were living lives that are/were completely contrary to God's perfect nature. His perfect nature and our imperfect sinful nature could not coexist here on earth or in heaven. However, because of His unconditional love for us, Jesus, God’s Son, came to earth and was born a man. He lived a sinless life and died a hideous death on a cross. The death that He experienced was for all people past, present and future. Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection closed that gap, His life for ours, and now we have access and favor with the Father.
There is a new life waiting for all who respond to His goodness (Romans 2:4). When we do, we are adopted into His family and become His sons and daughters.
