Parliament is dissolved. I am now the Conservative Candidate for Morecambe and Lunesdale.
Promoted by Emma Morris on behalf of David Morris both of 46 Northgate, White Lund, Morecambe, LA3 3PA
It’s falling apart already.
Labour say they will fund a VAT cut to energy bills by scrapping their proposed Digital ID cards.
But the cuts to the Digital ID card budget are not real because the money was never provided for in the first place. As the OBR stated in November last year the annual £600 million cost was unfunded as the government was relying on absorbing the provisional spend across departments without specifying where the savings would be made.
We are only one day in and already Labour are playing fast and loose with the public finances.
Labour should be doing what the Conservatives called for months ago – taking VAT off energy bills in a fully funded way by scrapping net zero subsidies.
On the 4th anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine I am here again in Kyiv supporting my friends and the Ukrainian people for the third year running. Let’s hope this war will come to an end soon.
Rachel Reeves promised not to raise Income Tax, NI or VAT.
Today we’re giving Labour MPs a chance to vote to back the promises which their own government made to the British people.
If they fail to stand by their own promises, how can the public trust a word they say again?
What happened to Labours promise to lower your energy bills by £300? Ed Milliband and a Labour Government happened that’s why you’re now paying an extortionate amount for your energy. Yet another false promise.
Ed Miliband promised to cut your bills by £300, but instead they keep rising.
Now he is about to lock us in to higher prices for DECADES.
If you think Ed’s job should be cutting bills in time for winter, sign up to our Cut My Bills campaign👇🏾

I’ve got one!
Would axing the Carbon Tax on electricity generation lower the cost we pay for gas, wind, solar and nuclear and would that benefit consumers?
My prayers are with those who have lost their lives, those have been injured and their families and my thoughts are with the whole Jewish Community as they begin to come to terms with this horrendous attack on their holiest day 2/2
Absolutely horrific to hear of the terrorist attack in Crumpsall today. This attack on the Jewish Community at a synagogue on Yom Kippur is abhorrent. 1/2
Two thirds of people under the age of 40 don’t even know what the Battle of Britain is.
It’s the result of allowing our history, heroes, flags, and culture to be sneered at and neglected.
Enough. We are a great country and should always be proud of our history.
They actually said it.
Keir Starmer's Labour government thinks the rights of illegal immigrants are more important than the rights of local people.

Really sad news. Frank was a character and pioneer. He had a dream to see a vertical launch on UK soil and I was pleased to help him securing some Government Funding when I was the UK Space Advisor. His passion for space will not be forgotten and he will leave a lasting legacy.
We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our pioneering CEO and founder, Frank Strang MBE, at the age of 67, following a short battle with cancer.

Keir Starmer’s government is a swamp of sleaze, more interested in itself than the British people.
We’re clear: it can’t be one rule for Labour and one rule for everyone else.
Labour came into power promising to make your life better.
But ater a year of huge tax rises and borrowing, Labour have actually cost British households £1,700 - each.
And they’re only getting started…
It seems Labours intent to honour Eden was a hollow one as we have seen no progress whatsoever from the Government on this since they came to power. Eden delivered by Morris, Delayed under Labour.2/2
I was really disappointed to not see Eden Project Morecambe mentioned in last week’s spending review. I met with Shadow Secretary of State for Communities @kevinhollinrake who agrees with my concern for the future of our community. 1/2
