@levelsio This is why founder driven ecosystems matter and succeed. They create what they need or they go find it. Indie hackers with a strong network of support can build a successful ecosystem anywhere. Or you can be a nomad and leverage strong communities.
@levelsio Not so sure it’s changing as much as you think. Capital is still the focus of most ESOs, coworking next. Most ESOs aren’t run by founders so they go for what is easy and they CAN do. Not what’s really needed.
Yes, AI requires lots of decisions and changes to be made in the world. But I can definitively say I want to live in a world where Johnny Cash sings Barbie Girl: https://t.co/dvuw5S4Elw
@dannypostma Better strategy, build a strong network of past successful bootstrappers. Raise money from them, share this strategy, and then do this at a smaller scale!
@dannypostma Almost all investors give money and want it to be spent. Putting it in a fund for $500k to slowly grow is not an investor strategy (should be!). They want to pour fuel on a 🔥 so you spend the money to rapidly grow.
@levelsio Seems like TikTok is easier to build a following but hard to get conversions. Makes me think it’s optimized or has a culture of following but that’s not as valuable as a Twitter or LinkedIn follow in terms of conversions

@_lhermann we tried our https://t.co/8oiIH0Cd7v and loved it. We plan on buying it for the https://t.co/EJWbAsXg0v this year! Great work. It’s also going to be a go to tool for our yearly pitch competitions!
@buildinpublic After years of paying too much money to pay sub contractors and tracking down how I paid them (Venmo, check, PayPal, etc) so I could file 1099 NEC forms, I decided to build my own solution to make my life easier: https://t.co/8ljBCPiWmc
@indie_dood Vacations. I worked on my honeymoon. I never took a real vacation. It was a vicious circle of time for money. No chance at freedom. SaaS is that possible chance for freedom. Now I work like crazy for a chance at freedom.
@indie_dood Freelancing is great. I did that for awhile until my life was so hectic I had to hire. So I hired more people. We did even more work. Hire more and did more work. Got burned out so did less work. Things stabilized and then they got boring. But I was never free. I worked on my 👇
