In France, Gisèle Pelicot became a hero. In Iran, she would have been hanged like Marziyeh and Reyhaneh Jabbari.
Thanks to @CBSNews for the opportunity to tell Marzieh's story, a child bride in Iran who did the ONLY thing she could when a man tried to rape her. Iran called it murder. And hanged her.
Reporting rape is impossible, because under Sharia law, you must produce 4 male witnesses to the assault itself.
If you can't, your accusation becomes a confession. You are no longer the victim. You are the criminal.
Where are the women of the #MeToo movement? Women in Iran are being executed.
💔
Zeinab went into the street to protest. To demand freedom. For that, the authority charged her with “Moharebeh”, which means; enmity against God, means execution.
If you ask me how you can help me and help Iranians save her life, to be honest, I don’t have an answer. 💔I don’t have power. All I have is my voice, and the ability to tell their stories.
Because I was once a prisoner myself. And what I feared most was being forgotten, being left alone behind those walls, while the government erased my name and killed me in silence.
That is why I keep telling their stories. So they cannot be erased. So they are not alone.
I'm writing this for everyone in the free world who has ever joined a protest in your country: this is what they do to people like Zeinab Mousavi. They don't just arrest you. They put a death sentence on the act of showing up, in order to create fear and to prevent people from protesting against oppression.
Zeinab Mousavi is in Vakilabad Prison in Madhhad right now, having seizures every night, being denied medical care, while her family waits in terror.
A freed prisoner named Sepideh Qolian tried to tell her story to every major newspaper inside Iran. But every single one refused.
Because Iran's system is built to make people disappear quietly, arrest them, break them, silence the witnesses, and wait for the world to move on.
Execution is no one's right. Not Zeinab's. Not anyone's who ever stepped into a street and said: this is wrong.
Urgent:
Iranian kickboxer is going to be hanged very soon after supreme court ruling!
I beg everyone: listen to his brother’s voice in this video and help us stop the Islamic Republic from executing him.
Benyamin Naghdi, is only 26-year-old, and he is a champion from Shiraz.
His brother says Benyamin wanted only one thing: a free Iran. He also says that for every person the Islamic Republic kills, others will rise to continue their path.
The regime wants these voices to disappear. It wants to silence Benyamin forever.
Please be his voice. Be his family’s voice. Before it’s too late.
Call your leaders to demand Islamic Republic to stop killing him.

He will be executed tomorrow he will be hanged. He’s just a child. Please help me to get the leaders to call the Islamic Republic to stop the execution.
My heart broke when I just watched the forced confession of this young boy on Iran’s state TV.
They tell him: “You are Mohareb.”
He asks: “What does that mean?”
He was so young, he didn’t understand that it means one thing in Islamic Republic:
execution
A 17-year-old boy, Shervin Bagherian, was arrested in Iran’s recent protest. Now in the middle of a war they are preparing to execute him.
His only crime was wanting a normal life. There is still time to speak up. Will you stand with me and be his voice before it’s too late?

Friends,
Ukrainian and pro-Ukrainian profiles have had very low visibility in recent weeks🤷♀️
Posts are almost invisible🫣

Ukraine is strong and we are strong.
Don't stop supporting Ukraine, they need us🫂🇺🇦
I'm staying, not even the elections or elmo's algorithm will stop me!🫡
This Ukrainian orchestra created an overture imitating the sound of Russian Shahed drone attack. And I guarantee you it’s one of the most chilling things you’d ever hear.
Except, it is.
I’ll give you the technical answer first, and the personal one second.
1. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is not a contained conflict - it’s an attack on the international order the U.S. helped build after WWII. If aggression goes unchecked in Europe, it signals to China, Iran, and North Korea that military force pays. That makes future wars more likely, including those that could directly involve U.S. troops.
2. NATO’s credibility is on the line. America’s security guarantees - what keeps allies aligned and adversaries deterred -mean less if Russia can invade, annex, and brutalize without consequence.
3. Instability in Europe drives up global energy and food prices, which hit Americans directly at the pump and in the grocery store. Ukraine is one of the world’s top grain exporters, and Russia has weaponized food supply.
4. A destabilized Europe means disrupted trade with America’s largest economic partner and more costly defense commitments in the long run.
5. Supporting Ukraine now, with money, weapons, and intelligence - not American troops - is cheaper and less risky than fighting a broader war later if Russia pushes beyond Ukraine.
6. History shows appeasement of aggressors doesn’t buy peace, it breeds escalation. Ukraine is the proving ground of whether deterrence still works.
7. Russia’s campaign is not just military - it includes the systematic deportation of Ukrainian children, widespread sexual violence, and targeting of civilians. The U.S. has long defined itself as a defender of human rights and freedom, turning away would betray that legacy.
8. The struggle of Ukrainians resonates with America’s own founding ideals: free people resisting tyranny.
9. Ukraine is also about the West versus authoritarian blocs. Russia and China are aligned in trying to rewrite the global order against democracy. Supporting Ukraine is not charity - it’s strategy in the broader contest for the 21st century.
10. If Russia “wins,” China will take lessons for Taiwan. If Ukraine stands, America’s deterrence is strengthened everywhere.
On the personal side:
The courage of Ukrainians reminds me why I’m proud to be an American.
Americans know what it means to fight for independence, to defend family, to resist tyranny.
Ukraine’s struggle is a mirror held up to our own history - the same yearning for liberty, the same courage in the face of overwhelming odds. To turn away would be to forget who we are.
We may live thousands of miles apart, but the principle is the same: if might makes right, if children can be stolen, women brutalized, and cities reduced to ash without consequence, then no one’s freedom is safe.
Not theirs, and not ours.
Supporting Ukraine isn’t about politics or party. It’s about remembering that America has always been strongest when we stood with the oppressed against the oppressor, when we recognized that our blessings of liberty come with the burden to defend them.
If Ukraine falls, the world grows darker and America smaller.
But if Ukraine endures, so too does the belief that freedom is worth any sacrifice, and that America still has the courage to stand for something greater than itself.
