I lost my younger brother today—same mother, same father. The government couldn’t help us; we fought our own battle. We spent over 280,790 GHC, yet there was no improvement. The night before he died, they told us to buy some medicine that cost around 7,900 GHC. We were fighting kidney disease and many other health problems. There is no government policy to support people in situations like this, yet they are the ones causing galamsey and the many diseases affecting the country.
