When Paul Gascoigne was at Rangers, Ally McCoist quickly learned that normal rules did not really apply.
Gazza lived in the next village to him.
The two of them were close at Rangers, but even by Gazza’s standards, there were some nights where McCoist had no idea what was coming through the door.
One night, McCoist was asleep at home. It was three in the morning when his wife woke him up.
“There’s someone downstairs.”
“I’m telling you, there’s someone downstairs.”
McCoist could hear it as well. The noise was coming from the kitchen.
So he got out of bed, put on a pair of shorts, and grabbed a three iron.
“I could never hit my three iron at the best of times.”
At that point, he thought he was dealing with a burglar. He was standing outside his own kitchen in the middle of the night, golf club in hand, ready for whatever was on the other side of the door.
Then he kicked the kitchen door open.
And there was Gazza.
Head in the fridge.
“He didn’t even turn around.”
McCoist just stood there looking at him.
“Paul, what are you doing?”
Gazza still did not turn round.
“I’m making a sandwich.”
It was half past three in the morning, so McCoist asked him why he was in his house making food in the middle of the night.
“I woke up and I couldn’t get back to sleep.”
“I’m hungry and I didn’t have food in the fridge.”
Then McCoist realised there was another problem.
How had he even got in?
“How did you manage to get in?”
“Remember about three or four weeks ago, you told your missus you were leaving a key for her underneath the oak tree?”
“I remembered that and let myself in.”
McCoist went back upstairs. His wife asked what was going on.
“It’s only Gazza.”
“He’s making a sandwich.”
“You can go back to sleep.”
That was just life with Paul Gascoigne at Rangers.
“It was madness on a regular basis.”
“Never a dull moment.”

@FreeAgentsFC Best of luck to him, didn't get a great deal of game time but when he did he looked alright. I think he'll probably struggle to find a step 1/2 side but apparently smashed it at Bury on loan so wouldn't be surprised to see him back there next season.
@CeraGibson Another angle here is that, as someone who works in a store, the majority of people have no concept of spatial awareness and will get in my way at any given opportunity. That gets accentuated tenfold when someone is listening to music. It's a working environment for some people.
@paultimminsuk@SamCKx It's coercion is what it is. He's essentially equated housing migrants in non-Reform constituencies to a punishment, and he's threatening to waste millions from the public purse just to spite people with critical thinking skills. Why would "decent" Reform voters want to screw
@paultimminsuk@SamCKx Why do you all say "I'm no Reform fan but..." or "I'd never vote Reform but Nigel is a good honest lad"? Is it because you don't want other people to think you're stupid? I'd love to see which box your cross goes in come the elections...

@dakppc@PBleater@BotFinderUK You have 'Sir' in your bio despite no official title. Without even looking into your politics, I can already tell you're a bit of a wet wipe and so I guess you fit into the second category.
