@DavidAFrench Know a number of C.S. Lewis fans who don't like it. Have said it is too mystical. I think it is one of his most brilliant works. It captures the banality of evil, the institutionalization of evil, the deception of evil, and the fall of evil. It is both chilling and victorious.
From my morning devotions: “having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them” (2 Timothy 3:5). How do you deny the power of God? By grasping for earthly-human power. You cannot have both.
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout…” (1 Thess 4:16). Now, I obviously don’t know what this “shout” is really going to be like, but I am more than ready for Christ to come down and say, “ENOUGH!!!!!”
