I attempted to write this last week but did not have the emotional capacity to do so. I barely have it now. “A Letter to My Daughter’s Brother" https://t.co/rHWUm3stNG by @DavidRMcGhee on @LinkedIn
7/7: Please say a prayer for this little boy, and his father. Also, please say a prayer for others near and far who are not as excited about the holiday’s as we are...for one reason or another. #ImBuildingAJail drm
6/7: I think about that little boy often, especially when my son and I go to the library. I also think about his father, and the fact that he can’t enjoy time with his son in the simple ways that I can with Deuce… #ImBuildingAJail
5/7: Shortly thereafter, following a conversation with his grandfather, I realized why he was building a jail. Why? Because that’s where his father is. He was building a jail with Legos because that made him feel closer to his dad. Heartbreaking… #ImBuildingAJail
4/7: As he put the finishing touches on his masterpiece, I turned to him and asked: “Hey little man, what are you making?” His response broke my heart. He passionately, and reluctantly, said: “I’m building a jail.” I was stunned, and had no idea how to respond... #ImBuildingAJail

2/7: More importantly, he loves when I get down on my knees and build things with him - especially if we have the place to ourselves... #ImBuildingAJail
1/7: Around this time last year, my son and I took a trip to our local library. I love the children’s books, and he loves the Lego and tinker tables... #ImBuildingAJail
Hey @Delta! Love flying w/ you. Please don’t fail me today. Promised my baby girl I’d be back for Parent-Teacher Conference. I know a shortcut to #Detroit if the pilot needs it. Can’t let my baby down.
If you know someone sitting down, in the County, go visit. If they’re upstate, send them a kite. As for their families, take a moment and give them a call and let them know you’re thinking about them. Many of us woke up to family today. They woke up hoping they’d hear from some.
My wife recently penned her first book!
It’s great! Not because she’s my wife, but because she’s great.
Do yourself a favor and purchase one...or one million.
