The right decision was to kick the FG. Had Zuerlein made it, which he has many times, this wouldn't be a discussion. Go into half time getting the ball down 5 with tons of momentum. Come out score and you are up for the first time in the game. 35 yards in 35 seconds you know the Chiefs were going to play back only giving you the underneath shallows and flats. The risk of a big turnover or some crazy play was far to great considering the way the team was playing. We had all of the momentum. Keep in mind we still haven't converted the 4th and 1. Personally, I wanted him to go for it. I guess that is why I coach youth sports and he doesn't.
