The VA proposed rating schedule changes in 2022, but they did not move forward after overwhelming opposition from veterans and veterans service organizations.

Today, the VA says "no changes are planned or imminent."

Too often, the world tries to tell us our story began in bondage, but our history as Black people stretches far beyond 1619. Africa’s rich culture and legacy shaped the world, and we must remind our youth that we come from kings and queens, not just struggle. Even if you never set foot on African soil, your heritage lives in you.
