Aussie dollar about the lowest it’s ever been (outside crisis times).
It is a signal of so many things not going right in the Australian economy. The problem is that it is a bit of a boiling frog scenario and the longer we wait to do something about it, the more painful the adjustment will be.
Time for bold reform in Australia.
I hope that at AMPLIFY we can play our part in helping drive reform.
Last week Elon showed us (again) that ideas are easy, and execution is everything. Visions of self-landing rockets, drink serving robots, and autonomous cars all existed before Elon was born. Bringing them to life is the hard part. #ExecutionIsKing
Companies need to occasionally delete all recurrent meetings to stay healthy. This works because it creates back pressure that all meetings have to be rejustified on merit. Fewer meetings: more focus on craft.

The more I learn about #AI and the implications for business over the next 10 years, the more my mind is blown. I was there for the upheaval caused by the internet, but this will be on another level. Prepare for disruption of business models like never before.
We were competing against Blockbuster.
They were doing $6 Billion per year. They had 60,000 employees. They had 9,000 stores. Even the idea of taking them on was crazy.
But that's what an entrepreneur does.
They do the thing that everyone says will never work..

It’s great that @elonmusk is the worlds richest man. Creating jobs, helping tackle climate change and inspiring the world by shooting for the stars - is exactly the stuff that should be rewarded.
While Covid has been tragic for many, it’s also been a catalyst for innovation and doubling down on values. Will 2020 go down as one of the most progressive years in decades?
Qld is the most un-Australian state in the country. Border restrictions are fine - but stopping people in Covid free northern NSW from having cancer treatments, visiting hospitals, caring for family, or going to work or school is ridiculous. #qldpol
@DavidTrewern Just gotta say love the @fliteboard! Been traveling around lakes in my area this summer in a travel trailer with the family surfing around the Western US. Would love to connect and learn more about the company.
I’ve followed the @fliteboard journey since day one. It’s an incredible world class product like nothing else. So lucky and to have had a early morning session with founder and friend @DavidTrewern. He’s a great coach as well !
COVID-19 seems like musical chairs for countries and businesses. When the music stops (and things return to normal) who will have a better chair? Who won’t have a chair at all? Innovation and agility is more important than ever while the music plays!
Covid-19 has fast forwarded change that was coming anyway... Streaming services, collaboration tools, working from home, online retail and electric vehicles up. Traditional media, physical retail and boring petrol cars and unimaginative products and businesses down.
"The most glorious thing you can do as an entrepreneur is to build a company that creates jobs people love, a product that fundamentally makes the world a better place, that continues to recharge your passion every single day and gets you excited about going to work" @zachklein
So great to see it’s not just via a downloadable app, but baked into the OS via a software update. Great news for iOS with their upgrade penetration. Android’s fragmentation might be a challenge though. Still, a great step forward for mass contact tracing.
