Before we dive in: not expecting any changes, someone is always not happy about airdrops, yadda yadda. I'm just looking at what we know and comparing it with other drops. Please don't @ me about "free money" or "crying" - I love you too and you missed the point.

🔸 Loyalty

@Sagaxyz__ emphasized and stressed loyalty in their Genesis Drop. The key? Holding through the bear market and beefing up your stake. Restaking rewards isn't enough; you had to actively accumulate to qualify for bonuses like the $ATOM Loyalty Bonus.

🔸 Snapshots

The $TIA snapshot window was tight – around 30 days to stake your airdropped $TIA. I'm sure a lot of people did stake. I'm sure a lot of people sold. SAGA was looking for those that bought into $TIA out of the gate or staked it all. If it's you - CONGRATS!

Sidebar: Staking $TIA keeps paying off - don't sleep on this and we've only said it .... a few times.

🔸End Amount > Begin Amount

If you didn't claim or compound your rewards you missed out, specifically on $ATOM. If you held on to your stake but didn't add to it - $SAGA penalized you for it. This is a NEW requirement that we haven't seen before. Something to keep in mind for the future.

🔸Restake

If your $ATOM is managed via @REStakeApp (and you have the eligible amount) you probably made the cut. Congratulations.

🔸Geoblock

"Hello! We'd like to onboard the next batch of crypto and blockchain enthusiasts. We'll reward you for staking your Cosmos blue chip tokens. And wait: if you are in the US or some other undesirable location we won't airdrop to you (but you can still buy our token on DEX and stake it. OH and our investors are likely in the US or UK anyway)."

Nothing to see here folks, this follows the trend that will likely keep going into 2024.

Get ready for VPN shenanigans come claim time and over-engineered solutions to keep you protected from yourself.

🔸T-Shirt sizes

SAGA will be bucketing stakers and users into sizes - small, medium, and large airdrop bucket based on certain criteria. Each tier will get 5x the airdrop of the previous tier. While not a WHALE cap, it certainly rewards those who have more skin in the game (loyalty) and we can get behind this - really like this approach

🔸Number of wallets

While we don't know the split between the 4 communities, it seems that $TIA stakers will get a fat airdrop due to number of eligible wallets and how concentrated they are given the timing since Genesis. $ATOM 101,000+ wallets eligible vs. $TIA 27,000+ wallets eligible

🔸Future $SAGA Airdrop Phases

@jinghiskwon reiterates that only 6% of the supply is being distributed at Genesis as an Airdrop. There is 14% more $SAGA allocated for future airdrops. If you didn't make the cut this time, SAGA kind of gave you a blueprint of what to do. Start adding to your stake.

🔸Tournaments

SAGA will be running additional gaming tournaments, for about 5 games with each of the partners. The leaderboard will be eligible for $SAGA airdrops. While really really cool on-boarding and adoption tactic, the previous runs were focused on the very top of the leaderboard (and rewards were meh). May be SAGA team will rethink the eligibility and parameters for gaming tournaments to be more inclusive.

🔸Meme's, Culture and LSDs

Interestingly enough - no NFT collections and no "Culture" as part of this drop (with the nod to @dymension ). Given the initial focus of SAGA on Gaming you'd think some sort of a cross over would be fitting. Similarly, no Liquid Staked assets are mentioned. That doesn't mean $stATOM isn't eligible but so far nothing was said about this. (Thank you Dymension again).

🔸OVERALL

SAGA clearly sticks to their guns, and rewards loyal and dedicated users, the ones that not only held through Bear but added to their stake. This new mechanic probably disqualified a lot of potential users, but hope remains for the 14% of additioanl $SAGA allocation for future airdrops.
