Safe to say the Tories and Lib Dems were just sat in the corner like two sad lads who couldn’t get it up at the orgy. Nobody respected them. This was all about big Andy and a sexual harassment plumber that Reform found in a pub. Burnham smashed it to be fair.

Barely a month ago this man was imprisoned for the violent rape of a Sikh woman believing that she was a Muslim. No Douglas Murray articles in the Spectator, no Baroness Fox speech in the Lords. No riots. Two tier? Too right https://t.co/8wABWe3bww
The far right prey on those with a knowledge gap. They provide simple false solutions to complex problems.
As millionaires, they capitalise on the tragedies of the poor, for profit. Even rape and murder.
They can ONLY attain power via disinformation.
Not facts or reality.
People need to learn that on social media, their outrage and attention is very profitable.
Far right politicians weaponise this.
They don’t target rational critical thinkers. They manipulate the vulnerable.
It’s not necessarily about IQ but a lack of social media literacy.
@Nigel_Farage You say this, yet one of your last votes in Parliament 11 weeks ago was to try to block a bill introducing improved sick pay, better paternity rights, and stronger trade union protections.
Not exactly on the side of workers, are you? 🤷♂️
After the Manchester 10k, campaigning in the hills of Hindley was a tough ask!
And my opponents are getting a little more desperate in what they are throwing at me.
But I won’t be deflected and am sticking to the game plan! 💪🏻
@AndyBurnhamGM@DailyMail I'm not talking about censorship but News outlets, print as well as broadcast, should be held to account when they deliberately tell lies & attempt to mislead people.
#GBNews is a #ReformUK propaganda channel & should not be allowed to broadcast in the UK - we are too lenient
There's a lot of criticism aimed at @AndyBurnhamGM at the moment, and that's fair enough – politics should involve scrutiny and debate.
But if I'm honest, some of the criticism and personal attacks now feel over the top. You don't have to agree with someone politically to treat them with respect, and I've never had much time for bullying, whoever it's aimed at.
Do I agree with every decision he's ever made? No.
Has he made mistakes? Of course he has.
Would Andy himself admit he hasn't got everything right? Absolutely.
But after watching him closely for years, one thing I have never doubted is how deeply he cares about Greater Manchester and the people who live here.
Every week on BBC Radio Manchester, Andy sits in the Hot Seat with Mike Sweeney and takes questions directly from the public. Not the easy questions. Not the pre-approved questions. The difficult ones too. He doesn't hide, he doesn't duck criticism, and he fronts up when people disagree with him.
That level of accountability is rare in modern politics.
I've seen first-hand the passion, commitment and genuine care he has for our city-region. Greater Manchester is a better place because of his leadership.
Is it perfect? No.
But progress rarely is.
Politics isn't about finding perfect leaders. They don't exist. It's about finding people who care, listen, learn from mistakes and keep showing up.
Whatever your politics, I think Andy deserves credit for always being willing to face the public, answer the tough questions and fight for Greater Manchester.
I'm proud to call him a friend.
Happy Challenge Cup Day everyone from a sunny Stubshaw Cross!
And here’s the good news in my latest update: I’ve asked my teams not to knock between 3pm and 5pm and leave you in peace to watch the match. 👍🏻
From now on, I will be posting a campaign update around teatime every day to let you know where I’m up to.
Here’s the first one - hope you find it interesting. Enjoy the evening sun everyone!
@LeeAndersonMP_ You don’t need to argue with me, Lee.
You need to listen to Gemma, the person who runs The Hamlet, and then decide whether as a Party you are prepared to do the decent thing.
Mr @christiancalgie has been busy putting out a partial version of events these last few days, amplified by yourselves.
I think it’s time all your readers had the whole story. They were all out of order and, if they had any decency, would now hold their hands up and apologise.
