Out walking with a friend last Friday morning with our dogs. My friends dog was on lead and bolted after a rabbit. She got pulled over and screamed in pain. Got her to A&E at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, time just before 0930. Was seen, X-rays and triaged just before 11.00. Broken fibula. Orthopedic Surgeon seen by 12.30. Advised earliest he thought he could operate would be the following tuesday but he would consult with some of his immediate colleagues. Same Surgeon comes back to waiting area within 20 minutes. He’s cleared his planned slot and can now operate this afternoon. By 6.30 my friend had had surgery, in a brace thingy and waiting to be discharged. Broken leg seen to and home same day.

Please just stop it Jackie. Stop this constant negative stories. Scottish NHS are brilliant and fine do you know it. It might not be so bad if you looked as if you look after your own health.
