@SteveHullfish @larainenewman Yes - but that's up to each state. Good look getting red states to agree to do that. On the contrary - Nebraska republicans are looking to undo the split. They failed this year but barely.
@larainenewman Get rid of electoral college? Constitutional Amendment unfortunately. However, can expand court by simple act of Congress but that would almost certainly require eliminating the filibuster.
@_mantwi@lxeagle17 Because any idiot who claims to break to Trump because of that intentionally miscontrued comment was always a Trump voter and just bullshitting you as to its effect on them.
@KevinNegandhi I am not, never have been and never will be an Eagles fan - generally the opposite for my entire life. But damn - that was beautiful . . .
@LeftwardSwing@hook922@2PercentChilla@NickKnudsenUS@StrictlyChristo So explain what happens when a third party candidate wins some electoral votes . . . let's see how much you understand since you're complaining about things being undemocratic . . . Fine -you win. You have legitimate 3rd party candidates who actually compete. What next?
@2PercentChilla@NickKnudsenUS@StrictlyChristo Remember-because our Constitution requires 50% the two party system is baked into it. No matter how you look at it - a third party candidate removes your choice. They either win no electoral votes and act only as spoiler. Or they get some and negate everyone's vote.
@EricLevitz As with the filibuster - removing that is a less extreme step than what Republicans did with the Supreme Court - particularly when they pack it with activists who routinely act as super-legistlators.
@EricLevitz And that small state protection is not a positive thing so long as gerrymandering is allowed. The House no longer represents the population of their state overall as intended.
@MikeSalvatore10 The problem isn't next year or the year after, it's what do they do after that. I still say at this point you have to bring him back despite the likely downside down the road.
@TalkinJake I don't even know how to talk about them. They were the best team and the worst team at the same time which is a pretty hard feat to pull off. They beat themselves more often than other teams beating them.
@KFILE No-people realize nothing. And can the media stop making the electorate more stupid by continually asking presidential candidates about enacting laws. Sure - presidents can influence but we've miseducated the whole electorate into having no idea what the role of the presdident is
@MaxMannis The Judge drop in particular. I didn't hear anything on the broadcast with the catch probability but I'd have to assume it's over 99%. That's a 1/1000 drop. And have to believe it shook them enough to contribute to the next two errors.
