@ukgolfguy I've been lucky to play a few courses in India, at Bangalore and Delhi. They were in good condition and worth playing. The food and beer after the heat was magic. It was just after Shubhankar Sharma sprung to prominence and the caddies were all talking about him .
@RickShielsPGA No for two reasons. 1) Define a divot, and 2) If you get a good lie in the rough, should you move your ball into a worse lie that is more deserving of an offline tee shot?
@MMcEwanGolf To be honest with you Micheal, I can afford it, but I hope it goes bust now. These prices are awful. Golf has lost its soul when it comes to ticket pricing in the UK and Ireland for this and the Open.
@gorbalsgoebbels@Motherwell_Lad I agree with you. Harry Vardon won more majors than both, but it's impossible to compare to Phil or Seve. For what it's worth my Dad thought Arnie genuinely was the King, and he loved Seve.
@jamierkennedy Point 5 is excellent. The "corporate buildings" at the Open have ruined it. Full of drunken twats who all of a sudden become entitled. The food on sale at Augusta is ideal π
@MMcEwanGolf 100% agree. We were there in 2024 and to watch the golf without the distraction of a phone was wonderful. It was safely locked away in our hotel room.
@rossmacleodputt Agree, plus on the other side of the coin, if you get lucky with a good lie when you land in the rough.....would you drop the ball into a worse position because that's the lie you should have got?π
