The documentary that the BBC refused to air - Gaza: Doctors Under Attack - won a Bafta last night.
The documentary shows the targeting, detainment and torture of medics in Gaza by Israeli authorities. The decimation of Gaza’s healthcare system including the detention of healthcare workers is central to Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza.
Amnesty awarded Gaza: Doctors Under Attack at the Amnesty Media Awards last week. The work of everyone involved in making this documentary and fighting for it to be broadcast shows the importance of journalists willing to speak truth to power.

Please take 5 minutes of your time to read this. Absolutely fantastic. No fluff, no anger, just a full explanation of where it's gone wrong and why and it's brilliant.
Tucker Carlson delivered a blunt and confrontational critique on the BBC, arguing that both Britain and the United States are acting under Israeli influence rather than exercising real independence.
Asked about Keir Starmer’s decisions during the war, Carlson dismissed the prime minister entirely, stating, “Keir Starmer is every bit as enslaved as Donald Trump is,” adding, “I feel sorry for him as I do for all slaves.”
Carlson pointed directly to UK arrests linked to Palestine Action and broader restrictions around pro-Palestine expression, arguing this reflects a deeper political reality.
“The British government has banned criticism of Israel. Therefore, it’s not sovereign,” he said. “Britain is not a sovereign country.”
The BBC presenter rejected the framing and did not answer questions as to why Palestine Action was banned.
Carlson extended the discussion to US policy, detailing that Washington had also been overruled in key moments.
“The Israelis prevented us from getting out of it… therefore, they’re in charge,” Carlson said, pointing to the collapse of a ceasefire and continued escalation.
A group of jews confronted the Aljazeera crew in Golders Green.
Called them monkeys and dogs.
Then told police they felt unsafe and alleged the news would go to 'terrorists'.
The officer's reply: 'I understand'
Not the West Bank. This is Britain.
Trump sent Hamas a ceasefire proposal – days later, Israel bombed the group in Qatar as it met to discuss the deal.

Reuters journalist Valerie Zink resigned a day after Israel killed her colleague Hussam al-Masri in Gaza, posting a photo of her cut-up Reuters badge and accusing the company of “justifying and enabling the mass assassination” of journalists in Gaza.
Al-Masri was 1 of 5 journalists killed during a “double-tap” strike on Nasser Hospital on Aug. 25, including Al Jazeera photographer Mohammad Salama. At least 11 Al Jazeera journalists have been killed since Israel launched its war on Gaza in October 2023.
Associated Press journalist Mariam Dagga was also killed in the strike, as well as journalists Moaz Abu Taha and Ahmed Abu Aziz.
Reuters and the AP issued a joint statement the day after the attack, demanding an investigation and “clear explanation” for the attack.
Since Israel launched its war on Gaza, it has killed at least 273 Palestinian journalists. Even before its attacks in October 2023, Israeli forces regularly targeted Palestinian journalists – killing veteran Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh with a sniper shot to the head in May 2022.
These Palestinian women stood up to Israeli settlers who were threatening them.
The Israeli military had uprooted about 10,000 olive trees in the same village, al-Mughayyir, in the occupied West Bank.
I can’t in good conscience continue to work for Reuters given their betrayal of journalists in Gaza and culpability in the assassination of 245 our colleagues.
They don’t let journalists in and they murder those who are already there.

We will never forget 2024. This year, 76 years after the Nakba and 17 years into the Israeli military’s blockade of Gaza—and with the full support of the US—the Israeli government has escalated its genocide against Palestinians living in Gaza to horrific proportions.
Amsterdam police chief Peter Holla confirming that it was the Israeli fans who initiated the violence by ripping down flags, hijacking & burning a taxi, and generally behaving as though they were in Gaza.
‘Traumatised’ Maccabi Tel Aviv fans arriving at Ben Gurion airport from Amsterdam singing:
