Anthony Albanese gets absolutely savaged on Sunrise after breaking his tax promises - then has the gall to call Australians “out of touch” for noticing.

After ramming through controversial negative gearing and capital gains changes with the Greens (breaking a clear election promise), Anthony Albanese hit the breakfast shows claiming it was all just a “scare campaign” and “misinformation.”

Sunrise hosts Nat Barr and Matt Shirvington weren’t having it.

Barr: “Since the budget was released people have been angry and confused, do you think you’re out of touch?”

Albo: “No I don’t, Nat.”

Shirvington: “Your integrity is dropping, your trust is dropping, your popularity is dropping.”

Albo kept calling legitimate concerns “nonsense” while defending the whole mess as “modest” and “sensible.”

He even claimed they’re making “no changes to people’s inheritance arrangements” after the so called widows tax was only dumped at the last minute and has since been disguised as something else.

Everyday Australians running to their accountants, business owners furious, young people still locked out, and the Prime Minister’s response is to lecture them that the system is “broken” and he’s the one “fixing it”

This wasn’t a victory lap.

It was a masterclass in how disconnected this government has become.
