Congratulations Ms. Hastings on being our first 23-24 Teacher of The Month! Ms. Hastings leads our new teacher program and truly makes a difference at MCMS every single day! Thank you Ms. Hastings for being amazing for our kids and staff! We also unveiled our NEW TOM trophy!
Three straight GREAT Days! Possibly best start I’ve been a part of. Students have been fantastic and responsive, and staff is killing it! Proud to be a LION!
Once again Ms. Walton and our CBG team have provided an incredible experience for our kids! The Student projects and presentations on WW 2 topics were incredible! We are not completely back to where we were with these…but we are getting really close!
Our final Sources of Strength school wide effort has us considering our core sources of strength! Each grade level is filling in theirs so we can continue to consider how we deal with challenges and lean on our strongest and most healthy pillars!
Have to give a huge shout-out to one of my all-time favorites @_treclark for his draft spot today! This kid has worked so hard and persevered through so much, such a special person and so well-deserved! No doubt he will be great! Love you, Tre!
How our Robotics Team spent their Friday afternoon celebrating their year! So proud of these students for what they have done for our program and for where they are leaving it for the next group! We Roar!
You will be hard pressed to find a more exceptional student than our 8th grade Student of The Year, Gladys Mwape! So much to say about her, but how her educators and peers feel about her and how happy they were that she was chosen tells you all you need to know!So proud of Gladys!
BIG thank you to Bryant & Stratton College for your presentation to our 8th graders on career exploration! Also a big thank you to former student Megan Kochheiser for visiting to connect with her experience! Experiences make the difference!
Core Values Assembly this am celebrating our students who have exemplified the Core Value of Accountability! Our assembly is completely student led! We are so proud of our Lions! Next up, Resiliency! We Roar!
6th graders took a field trip to the Richmond Zoo this week, I went Weds and @drfortune1979 took Thursday. The Giraffes were definitely my favorite part. First FT for most of our kids in over 3 years!
You would be surprised about the amount of kids who need optical support but don’t have it, and it’s NOT their parents fault! Testing varies greatly depending on provider. CIS and CONEXUS helped us test EVERY student to see who needed glasses and then…got them for us! #ourview
