Power conference teams: mid-major teams need to play more power teams in non-conference play if they want their resumes to be taken seriously for the NCAA tournament
Mid-majors: hey we want to have a stronger schedule, can we play you
Power teams: lmao absolutely not, we’re not gonna take any chances of possibly losing to you
Power teams: see, mid-majors don’t play anyone and also it’s their own fault for not scheduling us
@grantpaulsen Hot take- PETERS Is getting too much credit for his work when in reality he had a decent free agency and one good draft pick. The draft outside of JD5 was blah. And his one mid season pickup was a mistake at this point.
@CurryHicksSage Dave Paulsen to Air Force would be a sneaky good higher. He’s excellent at evaluating talent. Recruited multiple nba players to Mason and Bucknell. He’s not great at the X’s and O’s though.
VT needs to hire Jon Sumrall. Period. The guy turned Troy into a Sun Belt powerhouse (12–2, champs in Year 1) and has Tulane right back in the AAC title hunt. He’s young, proven, and hungry—exactly what Virginia Tech football needs to get back to relevance.
@JunksRadio hard to get worked up over the penalties because these players don’t get the Reps in practice. They don’t have time to make mistakes in private practice
A lot of former Terps have been thrown out (like Duane Simpkins) to fill the coaching vacancy, and Walt Williams thinks that's exactly what the program needs.
@JunksRadio@DrinkSurfside Skinn to UMD makes sense, but why not Duane Simpkins? He’s a UMD alum with the same 2 years of head coaching experience. But Simpkins made the tourney; Skinn was bounced in the NIT. Skinn inherited a rising program, while Simpkins took over after a firing
@JunksRadio any word if Willard was asking to name the next AD? I heard twitter rumors he wanted to bring the Seaton Hall AD to UMD. But I have no idea if there was any validity to it.
