"Absolutely" is a really strong word in medicine, particularly if supported by 1 single RCT including less than 200 patients, almost all with #COVID related #ARDS, from 1 single country... why this need for being absolutistic? why sometime we strongly rely on RCT results, sometime we do not?? Evidence on proning on ECMO is far from being consistent.
Maybe these results should simply not be generalized to all VV pts... Proning on #ECMO may have a physiological rationale, and could work in selected pt population(s).
