Sorry. That's just pure delusion.
Try to view the scene objectively.
Who was perfectly comfortable?
Who looked awkward and had a hard time answering simple questions?
Who explicitly gave the other permission to speak clearly, bluntly and honestly?
And who failed to do so, while the other laughed and enjoyed himself?
If you think Mamdani walked in there and made Trump bow to him, you are delusional.
@TheWWEReject@FactFindingPro@DrRitaDed Oh man! I almost called her retarded and didn't even pick up on that, even after thinking "Ded... that's a weird name..."
Maybe I'M retarded. ๐ค
Hell no. The only power they have right now is obstruction. Giving in would be like a parent rushing to McDonald's to get him a happy meal while he thrashes the house and throws a fit about it.
I use that example because I had a neighbor friend I grew up with who had a parent that did that exact thing, regularly. Dude was always in trouble and died by suicide by cop in his early 30s.
Reinforcing negative behavior makes it worse!
@scrowder@ComicDaveSmith I thought it was a great example of people with opposing views discussing, disagreeing, and finding common ground, both willing and looking forward to future discussions. This is how it's done. Good job guys!
