Non violent felons should have their rights restored upon completing their sentence. We need to elect leaders who support this. I'm not taking about sex offenders or violent felons, but people with white collar crimes or simply possessing drugs at some point in life. I'm not trying to promote being a criminal, but our 2nd amendment is arguably our most fundamental rights and has been treated like a second class privilege. Millions of Americans are banned from having firearms, even though they have been deemed good enough to work and get taxed into oblivion and love the life of anyone else. If they are so dangerous then maybe they shouldn't be out of prison. People have charges that are 15-20 years old and still can't have a firearm to protect themselves and their families. Thos needs to be reevaluated.
