Greetings Gen. @mkainerugaba,
We appreciate your recent efforts in the world of football. Hoima Stadium looks so good for the task. Let me interest you in a conversation I pray takes place. A conversation between you and the gentleman in the picture. Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa, Director of my football club @VipersSC. PLU is a house of patriots and rewards patriotism. However, I am not requesting for a reward for Dr Mulindwa. I am requesting for a conversation between you and this great man in the world of Ugandan sports. Where corruption has swallowed football in Uganda, suffocated talent and limited potential of the national team, this manโs sacrifices have kept football in Uganda standing. I was at his school St Marys Kitende when he was the Fufa president. There was one common pattern, when Uganda cranes had a fixture most especially an away fixture. Something at school became limited. The days we were supposed to eat rice or chicken, posho or beans/peas replaced the menu. Because he often had to spend from his business to fund The National team. When Uganda cranes lost a game, the following week a heartbreak would be written on his face. Later, football commentators who had access to information from FUFA said it on radio and Tv, that Dr. Mulindwa would sponsor Uganda cranes from his pocket. He built a foundation for Ugandan football his successors reaped from. He funded Ugandan football. Today Ugandan football instead funds lives of those running it. He may not be interested in being Fufa president anymore but if you sit down with him and have a conversation, he will be a great source of guidance to progressing a sport that gives life to many of us. Something you have proven to understand.
The money and time Dr. Lawrence has invested in Ugandan football, he will never earn back. However, if itโs seeing the rise of great talent rising from his efforts, he has harvested greatly. Please accept my humble request.
Me and the boys decided to pass by yes center in nsambya to support #UOX gazaland team but I think it was scheduled on a bad day , the gangs (egali) on ground with no security, we couldnโt risk. We had to leave @keithnamu@gazalanduox@AllanSseky@MaamaUganda02
