There comes a point where you must stop negotiating with the things that are destroying your purity.

You cannot keep feeding your eyes with pornography and expect your heart to remain pure.

You cannot continually entertain lustful images and expect your thoughts to remain clean.

You cannot keep returning to the same websites, accounts, conversations and videos and then wonder why the same temptation keeps coming back.

You must make a decision.

Close the page.
Delete the video.
Unfollow the account.
Leave the conversation.
Put the phone down.
Run from the temptation.

Be careful what you give access to your heart through that gate.

You can guard your heart.
You can pursue holiness.

Make a covenant with your eyes.

My both kidneys failed at 31.

I went through Dialysis three times a week. I was dying slowly.

They put me on the transplant list and said I might not last. One night after dialysis I could not stand the pain. I shouted to God until I had no voice left:

The next test before transplant showed my kidneys working again.

My Bible, which was written over roughly 1,500 years (approximately 1400 BC–AD 90), inspired by God, written through men whom God chose, preserved through generations, and still speaking today, already gave us the memo.

Paul said that even if an angel from heaven comes with a gospel different from the one the apostles preached, that messenger is to be accursed. Galatians 1:8.

So if somebody shows up centuries later saying, “An angel gave me a revelation,” but the revelation contradicts the Gospel and changes the story of Jesus, I’m not panicking.

We already know what to do: reject the revelation. The Gospel doesn’t get rewritten because someone claims an angel delivered an update.

“But an angel brought it!”

So what???… Paul said even an angel doesn’t get an automatic exemption.

The angel can present the revelation.
The Bible can examine it.

And if it contradicts the Gospel, the Gospel wins.

Title: THE NICOLAITAN DOCTRINES: THE DANGER OF COMPROMISE INSIDE THE CHURCH

When Jesus Christ sent His letters to the seven churches in the Book of Revelation, He addressed many issues, persecution, faithfulness, lukewarmness, false teaching, repentance, endurance, and victory. Yet among all these matters, there is one doctrine that Jesus did not merely warn about or advise against. It is the only teaching He openly declared His hatred for.

“Which I hate.”
— Revelation 2:6

These are frightening words.
If the Lord of the Church uses the word “hate,” then every believer must pay attention. The Nicolaitan doctrine was not an external attack from the world, it was a corruption from inside the church, a poison spreading quietly among believers who thought they were safe.

In this article i will explains who the Nicolaitans were, what they taught, why Jesus hated their doctrine, and how their influence still affects the church today.

WHO WERE THE NICOLAITANS?
Many Bible scholars believe the Nicolaitans were followers of a man named Nicolas, who introduced a lifestyle that mixed Christianity with the immoral behavior of pagan culture.

The doctrine of the Nicolaitans represents compromise within the church. It is not merely an external attack from unbelievers but a corruption that grows from inside the body of Christ. Historically, the name “Nicolaitan” is often understood to come from two Greek words: “nikao,” meaning to conquer or dominate, and “laos,” meaning the people. In essence, it points to a system where a ruling class dominates the people of God, creating a separation between spiritual leaders and ordinary believers. This spirit replaces servant leadership with control, hierarchy, and spiritual elitism.

But the Nicolaitan spirit goes beyond leadership structure. At its core, it promotes compromise with sin while still claiming to belong to Christ. In Revelation, the doctrine of the Nicolaitans is closely linked with the teachings of Balaam, who encouraged God’s people to mix holiness with immorality and idolatry. This is extremely dangerous because it teaches believers that they can live in sin and still enjoy God’s approval. It removes the fear of God and replaces repentance with excuses.

Jesus hates the doctrine of the Nicolaitans because it corrupts the purity of the gospel. The gospel calls people out of darkness into light, out of sin into holiness, and out of bondage into freedom. The Nicolaitan doctrine does the opposite. It lowers God’s standard to make sin comfortable, popular, and acceptable within the church. It tells people they can love the world and still fully belong to Christ, even though Scripture clearly says friendship with the world is enmity with God.

Another danger of the Nicolaitan doctrine is that it silences the conscience of believers. When compromise becomes normal, conviction is labeled as judgmental, and holiness is mocked as legalism. Churches begin to tolerate what God calls sin, and pastors become afraid to preach repentance because they do not want to offend people. Over time, truth is softened, then diluted, and eventually replaced with motivational speeches that make people feel good but leave them spiritually dead.

Jesus’ strong language “which I hate” shows us that God does not negotiate with sin. He does not hate sinners, but He hates doctrines that deceive His people and lead them away from truth. The Nicolaitan spirit is subtle, patient, and deceptive. It does not openly deny Christ, instead, it claims to represent Him while undermining His teachings. This makes it far more dangerous than persecution from outside the church.

The church in Ephesus was commended because they hated the deeds of the Nicolaitans. They did not tolerate compromise, even though they had other struggles. In contrast, the church in Pergamos was rebuked because they allowed this doctrine to exist among them. This shows us that ignoring false teaching is just as dangerous as practicing it. Silence in the face of error is itself a form of compromise.

Today, the Nicolaitan doctrine is still very much alive. It appears wherever holiness is optional, repentance is unnecessary, and obedience is replaced with slogans like “God understands” or “Grace covers everything.” True grace does not excuse sin, it empowers believers to overcome it. Any teaching that uses grace as a license to sin is not from Christ.

Jesus ends His warnings with a call to repentance and a promise to those who overcome. This means there is still hope. The solution to the Nicolaitan doctrine is not hatred toward people but a return to truth, humility, holiness, and the fear of God. The church must once again embrace servant leadership, biblical authority, and a clear separation from sin.

If Jesus openly said He hates this doctrine, then the church cannot afford to tolerate it. Compromise may attract crowds, but it grieves Christ. Popularity may grow churches, but only truth builds the Kingdom of God.

Yesterday, I was covering the burial of 3 Christians killed near the city of Jos when swarms of radical Fulani militants marched boldly toward us to attack.

Police and soldiers were there. The soldiers withdrew within minutes of sighting them.

Only policemen and civilian guards with slingshots and sticks held the line so villagers could bury their dead.

At the time, IGP of Police was in Jos to personally study the situation in Plateau State, but I’m sure this would never get to his ears except through social media posts like this
