I’ll be attending Bernie Sanders’ rally with Angie Nixon on Saturday in Melbourne. I may disagree with them, but they’ve tapped into something, and I want to see it for myself.
@AriDrennen@smfox And even though I identify as Jewish and Zionist I also think Netanyahu is a war criminal and we really have no choice but to limit aid at this point.
So calling Sarah Zionist is like….ehhh, maybe but not in the way they’re insinuating? 🥴
@nataliemj10 Agree. It’s as if people are forgetting Lia Thomas had to meet a 1-year hormone treatment requirement and get her levels checked before being allowed to swim on the women’s team. This was always a thing and the right wants to make people think Democrats are for no rules!
Today @AbdulElSayed addressed the Michigan Jewish Democratic Caucus
Was a private meeting, campaign has now provided audio to reporters
He cited Tikkun Olam and similarities to an Islamic concept calling on people to repair the world, then said the following:
The FL Dems Senate nominee, Angie Nixon, is making it clear she isn't really a socialist — even though she'd just joined the DSA
She says she’s not a socialist, opposes abolishing the politics & opposed the DSA’s commemoration of Castro

Abdul's next event features both Susan Sarandon and Katie Halper, hardcore Putin apologists and two of the most prominent defenders of Bashar al-Assad's gas attacks on civilians.
I feel like this whole Platner situation could’ve been avoided if a bunch of upper middle class leftists hadn’t seen the most obvious red flags imaginable and thought, “that’s just what rough, salty, Ohio Waffle House type working class people are like”
@BriannaWu The difference is that left-handedness wasn’t a criminal offense or one that would cause you to immediately be fired, evicted from your home, divorced, and excommunicated from your family.
@stacycay@JoshKraushaar Kat also ran as explicitly anti-Democratic party (“What if we didn’t suck,” etc etc). Which Zohran didn’t do even as a DSA candidate.
There’s a lot of base anger at leaders like Schumer/Jeffries but I’m not convinced that extends to the party as a whole.
People can be rightly scared for their families in Iran and be against this action but come on. No Iranian is scared about whether they belong because of this.
Today’s military strikes on Iran — carried out by the United States and Israel — mark a catastrophic escalation in an illegal war of aggression. Bombing cities. Killing civilians. Opening a new theater of war. Americans do not want this. They do not want another war in pursuit of regime change. They want relief from the affordability crisis. They want peace.
I am focused on making sure that every New Yorker is safe. I have been in contact with our Police Commissioner and emergency management officials. We are taking proactive steps, including increasing coordination across agencies and enhancing patrols of sensitive locations out of an abundance of caution.
Additionally, I want to speak directly to Iranian New Yorkers: you are part of the fabric of this city — you are our neighbors, small business owners, students, artists, workers, and community leaders. You will be safe here.
