@LadyRedWave Then you need to resign your house seat. This thinking is fine for normal U.S. citizens. But, a house member can’t put another country’s interests first.
@king_sacchi Really?? Marketability could be measured by endorsement money. Who is making more? The problem with AR is her social media and overall self-promotion. Those 2 things don’t make you marketable - but, she thinks they do.
@JaimeLardis They just don’t get it. The level of hatred that Philly Eagles fans/players have towards the Cowboys is crazy (and Cowboy’s fans/players do the same). That’s just one example in pro sports. This emotion means that the fans care. But, we need to be “nice” to WNBA players??
@Tim_Walz He would be very profitable if he were the best in the business. And speaking of business, it’s scary that so many people don’t understand that this was a business decision. The product was losing money, so it was canceled. I thought that was an easy concept to understand.
@TheJenniWren You think this has an impact on anything? It doesn’t. The most important point in all of this has been lost. These shows are a business. When you continually operate at a loss, the business has to change or fold. The model can work though - Greg Gutfeld is doing it.
@Kazeem By wearing the t-shirts, they are trying to make me care. So, here we are. The solution is simple - end the NBA subsidy and pay the WNBA players the same percentage of revenue or profits that the NBA gets. Give them what they want - they’ll soon be asking for a subsidy again.
@Dams_Lefty@propagandablade@Korea_Friend_UK OK. Give them the full internet sans pornography and child abuse. Pointing
out that NOKO abuses and imprisons their people is not propaganda, it’s factual information. When you say propaganda, it’s anything that the regime doesn’t want you to see. The Nazis did the same thing.
@LegendOfWinning I agree - give the players everything they want. It’s win-win. The players win because they get more money. Everyone else wins because the league will go out of business in 2-3 years. Oh, and stop the NBA subsidy of the WNBA.
@Timwalkonwater2@Aaron_Torres Yep. Like I said, give them the same percentage of revenue that the NBA gets (that includes media deals). And end the NBA subsidy. That may or may not result in league profitability. The thing about CBA’s - you can negotiate yourself into bankruptcy and job loss.
@jason_howerton Companies that lose money still have to pay market rates to attract and retain employees. Market rates are based on supply AND demand. The WNBA players don’t understand the demand part of that model. The WNBA needs to have enough demand so that they don’t need a subsidy.
@ClayTravis What did these t-shirts accomplish? A torching on social media that overshadowed the actual game. Bravo, ladies. Go back and retake ECON 101.
@Timwalkonwater2@Aaron_Torres This is easy. End the subsidies that the WNBA gets from the NBA. Pay the WNBA players the same percentage of overall revenue that the NBA gets. That’s a fair apples-apples model - and the WNBA will fold within 2 years under that model.
@MattWalshBlog Yes. The WNBA should copy the NBA model. Pay the WNBA the same percentage of overall revenue that the NBA gets. Oh and, no more WNBA subsidies by the NBA (since the NBA is not subsidized). That model will last 2 years max before the WNBA folds.
