This is no mere brawl - it is a targeted attack by the ruling Georgian Dream party against our team for speaking truth to GD PM Kobakhidze. This footage exposes the grim reality of a regime physically assaulting critical voices: politicians, journalists, students, and activists.
We will do everything to stop this violence!
The EU just adopted a resolution, citing the politically motivated charges on For Georgia leader and former Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia.
In the occupied Tskhinvali region, the Russian Federation has begun a new phase of annexing Georgian territory. The so-called "Treaty on Deepening Allied Cooperation," signed in May of this year between Moscow and the Tskhinvali regime, has already entered into force, and its practical implementation has begun. Russia's personnel policy in the occupied territory is evidence of this.
Specifically, Russia has sent Russian official Marat Kambolov to occupied Tskhinvali. He was first appointed as an adviser to the de facto president, and now, according to media reports, his appointment as the "Prime Minister" of the Tskhinvali occupation regime is being planned.
As you know, the aforementioned so-called treaty aims at the complete integration of the occupied Tskhinvali region's socio-economic, transportation, energy, and military sectors with the Russian Federation. This clearly constitutes yet another step toward the de facto annexation of Georgian territories and poses a direct threat to the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
We called on the Georgian authorities to take appropriate legislative measures and mobilize international partners against this wave of annexation, but the ruling party did nothing. The ruling party did not even support the anti-annexation resolution that we initiated in Parliament and described our efforts against annexation as "political showmanship."
Against the backdrop of the "Dream" government's complete inaction, Russia is now appointing its own public official to a leading position within the Tskhinvali regime, which amounts to the establishment of direct Moscow rule over Georgia's occupied territory.
The ruling party, which deliberately sabotaged years of cooperation with Georgia's strategic partners and pushed the country into international isolation, is, instead of defending the country's interests, assisting in the annexation of our territories through its criminal silence toward the occupying state.
We call on "Dream" to fulfill its constitutional obligations: provide a clear political and legal assessment of the annexation processes being carried out by Russia in the occupied territories and ensure the mobilization of international partners against annexation.
We demand that the "Dream" government state a clear position regarding the claims raised by the occupation regime concerning the village of Chorchana and explain whether it plans to dismantle the Georgian checkpoint located there.
Once again, we appeal to the Parliament and Government of Georgia: stop remaining silent, return to the constitutional framework, restore active cooperation with international partners, and support the anti-annexation resolution. Silence and inaction during Russia's seizure of Georgian territories amount to assisting the occupying state, and no one will be able to evade responsibility for this.
The ruling regime in Georgia is trying to achieve international isolation for its own country, said Anna Buchukuri, one of the leaders of the "Gakharia for Georgia" party, in an interview with the Latvian Public Broadcasting Radio

Today, on Europe Day, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to Georgia’s European future.
Europe is not just a destination but a choice of those values we cherish: democracy, social justice, solidarity, and the dignity of every citizen. These are the principles that guide our vision for Georgia.
We believe in a nation where institutions are strong, opportunities are fair, and every person has the chance to thrive. A European Georgia means better protections for workers, quality education, accessible healthcare, and a state that truly serves its people.
Our path to Europe is not symbolic. It is a concrete responsibility. It requires consistent reforms, political courage, and unity around what truly matters: the future of our country.
Georgia belongs in Europe. It has always been the part of our history. And together, we will make this future a reality.

Happy Europe Day🇪🇺. Today, we celebrate peace, democracy, freedom, and economic prosperity. Despite the challenges created by shifting geopolitical realities, these remain the values to which #Europe continues to stay committed - and the reason why Europe remains the historic choice of the Georgian people. For #Georgia 🇬🇪, Europe represents not only a democratic future, but also a guarantee of long-term peace, stability, security, higher living standards, quality education, and healthcare. Unfortunately, Georgia’s current government marks Europe Day with threats directed toward Europe itself. Governments, however, are temporary; the will of the Georgian people to be part of Europe is enduring and unwavering. Georgia is Europe. And we believe that through joint effort, we will soon celebrate Georgia formally in Europe - and Europe in Georgia. #EuropeDay2026 🇬🇪🇪🇺
Today we honor International Workers’ Day, a day of dignity and solidarity. Yet in 🇬🇪, social inequality dominates: low wages and growing poverty. Workers deserve fair pay, protection, and respect. Our fight is for justice, not cheap labor.

Today is May 1 - International Workers' Solidarity Day, a symbol of the struggle for justice!
📍A decent wage: Work should be valued so that a person does not have to fight for survival!
A decent wage is not a luxury: it is a basic right! #laborday
We heard an alarming statement from the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, that Russia is confidentially working to transfer the Geneva negotiations format to a “neutral territory” and is now searching for such “neutral territory.”
We immediately demand that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia publicly declare whether it is participating in these “confidential” negotiations and what our state’s position is on this matter. The Georgian side has already been concealing for months the content of meetings held within the framework of the “Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism” (IPRM) and the Geneva format, which periodically appear in information agencies controlled by the occupying Russian Federation and contain alarming information regarding Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
We consider alarming the dangerous dynamics of Georgian Dream’s policy toward the occupied territories, which damages national interests, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. This began with Ivanishvili’s apology to the occupiers, effectively declaring Georgia the aggressor in the 2008 war, and with the initiation of criminal prosecution against former Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, whom the Georgian Dream government prosecutes using the rhetoric and “arguments” of the Russian occupation regime in Tskhinvali for defending Georgian land, stopping creeping occupation, and placing a police checkpoint in the village of Chorchana.
We remind you that the Geneva format is an international framework created after the 2008 war, where the OSCE, UN, EU, and the United States participate to help defend Georgia’s national and sovereign interests. The “neutral environment” mentioned by Russia is one where Georgia’s sovereignty will no longer be protected under the Western international umbrella, which in practice means the abolition of this format.
The fact is that the Russian Federation, armed with international political, military, informational, and economic levers, is now conducting an active and massive offensive against Georgia’s territorial integrity and national interests. Therefore, a clear answer must be given whether the Georgian Dream government defends Georgia’s national interests, or whether it is an ally of the Russian state in attacking our sovereignty.

Yesterday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Bochorishvili, confirmed from the parliamentary tribune the change in the country’s European course and blamed the suspension of the EU integration process on the European Union, using lies and disinformation.
Everyone in Georgia knows that on November 28, 2024, Irakli Kobakhidze announced the ruling party’s decision to unilaterally suspend Georgia’s EU integration, thereby causing irreparable damage to Georgia’s prospects of becoming a full-fledged member of the European family, founded on peace and prosperity.
Maka Bochorishvili and every member of “Georgian Dream” know very well that they cannot escape the personal responsibility that history and the Georgian people will assign to them for destroying the country’s European future.

Today, at the Tbilisi City Court, in the June 20 case, Giorgi Gakharia’s lawyer, Berdia Sichinava, requested that the OSCE Moscow Mechanism report be admitted as evidence. The report states that the ongoing criminal cases against the former Prime Minister are likely politically motivated. At the request of the prosecution, the judge did not attach the official document of the OSCE investigative mechanism to the case.
