Channel Nine has broadcast an interview with a Ku Klux Klan leader, seeking to link their views to One Nation.

This is disgusting and a new low for the Australian media.

The Ku Klux Klan is a white supremacist organisation with a long history of racial hatred, terror and violence. Yet Channel Nine sent an Australian journalist to the United States to seek them out, interview them and broadcast their views to Australians.

This is extraordinary.

Any suggestion that One Nation or its supporters endorse the KKK or share its ideology is absurd and offensive.

There is something seriously wrong with a media organisation that believes Australians need to hear what the Ku Klux Klan thinks about Australian politics and chooses to promote those views.

Channel Nine should be ashamed of itself.

The attacks from Chalmers and Albanese on One Nation have become increasingly desperate. Yesterday they crossed a line.

No matter how worried Jim and Albanese are about losing their jobs, telling Australians that their democratically elected opponents are “dangerous” and a “threat to our country” invites people to treat them as a threat.

Words have consequences.

That is how political violence is incited.

The murder of Ann Widdecombe in Britain should be warning enough about the dangers of poisonous political rhetoric.

Anthony Albanese says we need to turn down the heat and violent rhetoric in our political discourse.

Meanwhile, he and his Treasurer are pouring petrol all over it.

Australians are entitled to vote for One Nation without being told by the Treasurer and the Prime Minister that their democratic choice is a danger to the nation.

The real danger is that Jim and Albanese's incompetent economic management will continue to push your rent, your mortgage and your bills even higher.

The real danger to Jim and Albanese is that the people of Australia are coming for their government… at the ballot box.

When Australians hit hard times, Jim makes it too difficult to access their own super. Even if they get it, he hits them again by taking 22% in tax, including money needed to bury a family member.

It is estimated Jim took more than half a billion dollars in tax from compassionate and hardship withdrawals in 2024–25 alone.

Jim Chalmers must stop taxing Australians at the lowest point in their lives, when they are simply trying to survive the economy Labor ruined.

The United States just gave Iran almost everything they wanted, sanctions relief, kept their nuclear infrastructure, and a very weak deal, with almost no real concessions from Tehran.

And yet, Iran is still unhappy and still making more demands.
