As always, something impossibly majestic about polling day.

[David Lillywhite @Davvers]

Yes, I absolutely should have put the suit carrier on the train shelf but I have form in this regard (July 2023, the night before a hearing). Commuters making their displeasure felt. Should have just posted this on LinkedIn and told you about my coffee with a bundle of hashtags.

[David Lillywhite @Davvers]

I’m not saying this is a tradition but thank goodness I just checked my outbound travel from Euston for Friday - it’s 9.13am not 9.29am as I thought. That’s one less vaguely amusing catastrophe I’ve saved you reading tomorrow. #ResConf24

[David Lillywhite @Davvers]

That travel update in full: 1st train made in good time, promptly gave the carriage a big blast of the yacht rock I was listening to as headphones not on. Just had my ritual pre-con heart attack convinced I’d left my suit back at home (it was hidden behind my case). #ResConf23

[David Lillywhite @Davvers]

@JoeRainer_ So sorry to read that, Joe, the space for a tweet doesn’t really cover it.

[David Lillywhite @Davvers]

@itsalawyerslife Having now seen The Holdovers (which I thought was magnificent), it’s Giamatti all the way for March now.

[David Lillywhite @Davvers]

@itsalawyerslife It’s strange, the further I get from Maestro, the more it seems to leave me cold aside from the obvious acting achievement and I can’t put my finger on it. Loved Poor Things, just imagination in every frame. Ruffalo should be more in the conversation too.

[David Lillywhite @Davvers]

@JoeRainer_ I like that this gif might just as well apply to those authors hiding out in the back matter and I am here for that.

[David Lillywhite @Davvers]

@RhysTaylor32 Oh that’s beautiful (and I note the keypad - if I was betting man, I’d have definitely said Rhys would have to have one)! I got a lot of upgrade envy writing the article as my K3 feels positively Victorian now!

[David Lillywhite @Davvers]

The usual incisive content plus a tech article/avant-garde performance piece from me as well. I cannot recommend writing for the FRJ enough, the editorial support is really something (though if I’d known it was going to be such a big edition I might have dialled it back…)

[Financial Remedies Journal @fr_journal]

It’s out! The summer 23 FRJ. A Mostyn farewell special, but packed to the rafters with loads of other good stuff too! https://t.co/QdqN3DVrZa

[David Lillywhite @Davvers]

@HybridLawyer @HudsonBrewer @mrichardsonlaw Four putt for the hole? A far cry from Deanwood Park where I embarrassed myself yesterday (still an absolutely beautiful day for it annoyingly enough).

Should spin this thing up ahead of #ResConf23 (the Twitter app is just too much after Tweetbot). There is a big contingent from @burgessmee attending. Do say hi, I’ll have prob spent the morning live-tweeting the inevitable cacophony of errors that will be my journey to Brighton

[David Lillywhite @Davvers]

@MlSTERLlSTER File opening forms should all be signed in the glitter ink. Probably the best use of a touchscreen.

[David Lillywhite @Davvers]

@topfamilylawyer Superb. I got a Rega turntable for Christmas, and am spending a lot of time trying to come up with a list of essential records (I only have one at the time of writing but it’s early days and so much is not available anymore).

[David Lillywhite @Davvers]

I’m not going to lie, I only glanced at the front cover of the Nov/Dec Review and thought the @ResFamilyLaw ‘Anime’ project guaranteed a leading practitioner revisiting Akira across 1,500 words.

[David Lillywhite @Davvers]

Alright then. Good luck everyone. Happy New Year!

The heroine of Christmas Wrapping clearly never had to contend with a Sainsbury’s at midday on Christmas Eve when she forgot cranberries too.

We go live to the last day in the office for the year.

Wondered why my Inbox exploded overnight and it seems to be the morning all the festive e-cards have been sent. The consumption of Quality Street is still only at amateur level this end.
