This opens a whole can of worms, introducing new legal principles that could lead to numerous challenges against the IEC’s systems and pose a threat to fair elections. South Africa’s Constitutional Court is simply packed with left-leaning, pro-ANC judges—that is the elephant in the room—and this ruling threatens not only our outstanding track record of free elections but also our legal order.

As if sharks were not enough to worry about when swimming in the sea.
Now we have to worry about pythons as well.
This is Scottburgh beach, in KZN.
Eish.
Stop insulting teachers about Grade 1 failure. We are the only ones TRYING in this broken system.
We stand in front of 60+ learners, no textbooks, no support, paid peanuts, and we still TEACH.
Meanwhile, parents are raising TikTok addicts, not learners.
You buy a phone for a 7-year-old who can't even spell his surname. He goes from TikTok to gaming the whole night, sleeps in class, doesn't know how to hold a pencil, and you as a parent are okay with it? You don't check homework, you don't come to meetings, you don't even know your child's teacher's name.
Now the child gets to Grade 5 and can't read ONE sentence. And you have the audacity to say "teachers are not working"?
The truth is: MANY PARENTS HAVE ABANDONED THEIR CHILDREN.
You want us to be parents, social workers, security guards and teachers all at once, but when we discipline, you run to BELA Act. You have made schools a joke. Learners do as they please because they know teachers have no power.
Your child is failing because YOU failed at home. The Department failed us all.
Teachers are tired of carrying a system that parents and government have already killed.

I just watched a reel about how some supermarkets inject the meat that they sell with modified potato starch and water, so that it absorbs the water and swells up (like a disposable nappy) adding weight and volume to the meat.
Have you ever put some meat in a pan and the next thing there is an unusually large amount of water in the pan?
If so, you have been conned and have paid premium rates for tap water.
What absolute scum.
Have we ever heard a peep out of a political party to protect us against this type of exploitation?
Nope. Thought not.
The State is opposing bail for Siphelele “MaGolide” Shinga, Malizo Dzanibe & Wandile Nsibande.
The State is arguing that their protest went 'beyond what is reasonably acceptable.'
Proceedings are ongoing as their lawyer pushes for bail at the Durban Magistrate’s Court.
How many murderers, drug dealers & criminals has the State allowed to go on bail unopposed?
This is lawfare and it is not acceptable.
A government hospital can turn away a South African because they don't have a referral from a clinic or a GP but will gladly accept an illegal immigrant with no problem . That's the reality.
National importance 💔🇿🇦‼️
THIS IS WHAT WE AS WOMEN HAVE TO BE SUBJECTED TO!!!
All because i didn't want to give him show and allow him to pass me Tries to knock me, drives infront of me like a maniac and then dead breaks multiple times while my 1 year old baby was in the car with me
I then made the decision to drive much slower behind him, obviously he saw that im a woman alone he then stops on the bridge to wait for me not caring about all the other cars behind me aswell, causes traffic to threaten to kill me with my 1 year old baby in the car.
I had to make a split second decision on whether to take a video or whether to
call my husband and I unfortunately knew that my husband wouldn't make it quick enough to me and I had to take a video for safety instead, can you imagine a decision of a video as safety over a phonecall to a loved one.
THIS HAS BECOME OUR LIVES
Question is do these type of men do this when there is another man present?
And we then make the time to go to the police station to open up cases and then what actually comes from it?
I stay only 1,3km from the coffee shop l was driving home from, can you imagine such a short distance from home for mine and my babys life to be in danger!
WE AS WOMEN ARE TIRED OF NOT FEELING SAFE ENOUGH TO SIMPLY JUST LIVE! @SAPoliceService@AthlendaM@SA_Taxis
March and March supporters are outside the Durban Magistrate’s Court, where suspects are appearing in connection with last week’s protests.
This comes as the court proceedings unfold, with supporters gathering outside to show their presence.
Government needs to listen to the people.
It should not take violence to force the government to listen to the democratic will of the people.
I wonder how many illegal immigrants, drug dealers, human traffickers & building hijackers they arrested.
SA is now the UNISA of immigration; you can apply for asylum while sitting in Pakistan before coming here.
Once you have a receipt, you can land in SA, and the immigration officers and the police cannot touch you. Judges will offer you extra protection.
South Africa is led by idiots.
SAns arrive at Home Affairs offices at 4 in the morning. No online system was ever developed to help them apply . Illegal foreigners will have an online system ready for them by November 10.This GNU is kak.
🇿🇦R1.33 BILLION GONE. THE DEAD GOT PAID. GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES GOT GRANTS. AND A "CORRUPT" MINISTER GOT THE KEYS TO SASSA‼️
SASSA paid approximately R1.33 billion in grants to ineligible beneficiaries in 2025/26: R211 million to the dead, R266.8 million to government employees, R235.1 million involving GEPF records, R604.3 million tied to incomplete databases, and R18.9 million involving invalid identity documents.
The 2025/26 financial year ended under Sisisi Tolashe's tenure as Social Development Minister. Ramaphosa dismissed her in May 2026 amid controversy over two luxury vehicles reportedly intended for the ANC Women's League, and CR gave no reasons. The department now has a new minister whose own past includes serious findings by the Public Protector and Parliament's ethics committee.
Ramaphosa appointed Dina Pule in July 2026. She arrives with a public record of her own. In 2013, Public Protector Thuli Madonsela investigated allegations of maladministration, corruption and conflicts of interest involving Pule's tenure as Communications Minister. Ramaphosa reappointed this lady Dina Pule as Minister of Social Development, the same Dina Pule who was fired by former President Zuma because she gave her boyfriend R6 million from the Department of Communications when she was the Minister of Communications. Ramaphosa has now recycled a known corrupt ANC cadre & made her minister again.
The crux of the issue in the ConCourt judgment
The ConCourt judgment amongst other matters ruled that a person who is illegal in South Africa cannot be arrested and deported IF they express an INTENTION to apply for asylum. Effectively, if an illegal immigrant just EXPRESSES an intention to apply for asylum they have to be released.
Yes we know asylum application doesn’t mean refugee status nor citizenship. The crux of the issue is what does an asylum application mean and what is afforded to people who merely posses a Section 22 permit.
A Section 22 permit is a legal document that is issued to an individual that has applied for asylum in South Africa whilst they await for Home Affairs to make a decision.
A holder of a Section 22 permit can access SRD grants, is legally enabled to study, be employed and run businesses in South Africa.
Auditor General back in 2020 stated, to clear the backlog on asylum applications and appeals, if no new applications are received it will take 68 years for Home Affairs to clear the backlog.
Home Affairs indicates, it takes between 5-10 years for a decision to be finalised on an asylum application given the appeals & court processes. This is unlikely to change as the Refugee Status Determination Officers are less than a 100 for the whole country.
The troubling feature as stated by Home Affairs is that 95% of asylum applications are denied as not meeting the legal requirements of a refugee.
Home Affairs doesn’t have a system to track and trace individuals who are asylum applicants. Most asylum applicants receive the Section 22 permit fail to report to Refugee Reception Office & continue to live in SA without lawful documentation.
Home Affairs doesn’t have systems to adequately ascertain whether asylum seekers are not fugitives. Fulgence Kayishema was criminally indicted for the killing of 2000 people in Rwanda. He came to South Africa seeking asylum and was given a refugee status, he lived in the country under a false name for more than 20 years working.
The Employment Services Amendment Bill proposes a removal of an “asylum seeker” in the definition of a foreign national. Meaning a foreign national who is illegal in the country, who has just merely applied for asylum is afforded the same rights as a citizen. This is even though 95% of asylum applications do not meet legal requirements and it takes a minimum of 5 years for an application to be finalised. In those years, they are legally entitled to work just like citizens.
The anger directed to the South African government by its citizens is legitimate. This ruling effectively means an illegal immigrant can have legal status in South Africa through an asylum application.
Even though 95% of these applications are not legitimate, they will still get to have access to work and business opportunities, SRD grants until the applications are finalised which takes years.
ATTACK THE MESSAGE? OR DISCREDIT THE MESSENGER?
I promised myself I would never dignify anything published by @News24 with a formal response. But its hit piece on Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma demands one.
Let me be clear: this is not an endorsement of Jacinta or the March and March movement per se. It is a defence of her right, as much as mine and that of every other South African, to hold this government to account on issues about which we feel passionately.
What the editors at News24, huddled around their editorial cauldron, concocting the latest batch of ideological gruel to serve their readers, appear to have missed is one rather inconvenient fact: Jacinta's message resonates with millions of South Africans. And not one of them seems remotely interested in asking the most obvious question of all: Why?
Instead, we are served a steaming bowl of hyperbole, histrionics and emotionally charged sound bites. Anything, it seems, to avoid confronting the substance of the discontent.
So let us strip away the theatrics and get to the heart of the matter.
This government has, from the outset, abdicated its responsibility to serve the best interests of the South African people. And the government we have today - the entire political establishment, not merely one party or faction - has become a malignant mass, a festering cancer on the body politic.
The real story isn't that Jacinta is saying things that make News24 uncomfortable. It's that millions of South Africans are listening - because, after decades of broken promises, corruption, incompetence and political indifference, they have every reason to be angry.
And perhaps that is the question News24 should be asking itself: not why Jacinta is speaking, but why so many South Africans feel she is worth listening to.
Doxxing Jacinta, threatening her, and attempting to portray her as dangerous, as though she herself represents the problem in South Africa, is an exercise in creative deflection.
It is far easier to vilify the messenger than confront the message. Far easier to intimidate a citizen than answer the questions she is asking. And far easier to manufacture a public enemy than acknowledge the failures of those who actually hold power.
When the spotlight falls on the messenger rather than the message, ask yourself what, exactly, they are trying to distract you from.
In late 2015, while the rest of the country was on holiday, acting Strategic Fuel Fund CEO Sibusiso Gamede quietly flogged South Africa’s entire strategic oil stockpile - roughly 10 million barrels - at a steep discount (~$28–30/barrel) with the approval of then Energy Minister Tina Joemat-Pettersson. No open tender. No board approval. No Treasury sign-off. They called it a “stock rotation.” It was a sale.
Gamede, who was also Joemat-Pettersson’s special adviser, allegedly received large unexplained payments (including into his law firm’s trust account and in cash via ATMs). The Western Cape High Court later declared the deals invalid and corrupt, finding that Gamede’s motives were improper and that he had unlawfully disposed of a fundamental national insurance policy. The oil was sold near the bottom of the market; the buyers locked in easy upside. Taxpayers were left with the bill: the stock fetched ~$281 million, but restitution, interest, storage and costs ran substantially higher. The reserves were never properly rebuilt.
Today those reserves sit at roughly 6.9 million barrels — a fraction of what the Saldanha tanks can hold and well below international norms — while inland petrol has hit record prices. A proper strategic buffer wouldn’t permanently cut everyday pump prices (those are set by global oil, the rand, taxes and refining shortfalls). It would give the country a tool to release stocks in a crisis, blunt extreme spikes and reduce the risk of shortages or panic. Selling the crown jewels cheap and failing to restore them left South Africans more exposed and poorer. Accountability never followed.
Our government can track R100 entering your account and cancel your SASSA grant🤣🤣BUT MILLIONS AND BILLIONS OF RANDS CAN MOVE AROUND AMONGST POLITICIANS AND SUDDENLY NOBODY KNOWS ANYTHING.
