A lovely offering first thing today, lavender filled hearts to help staff sleep. I have a small number in the #WVTWellbeingHub @WyeValleyNHS if you’d like one 💙
@999jdf @DrLindaDykes@RCollEM There are many Emergency Care professionals feeling as you are today. This situation is absolutely not sustainable. Good people are being broken. Please take care of yourself. Let the team know how you feel too- not to drop morale further, but so you can support each other.
@999jdf @RCollEM Thinking of you and your team John...total respect for all you are doing. please be kind to yourself - you are doing all you can in a broken system. Hugs from Therapy colleagues.
The worst day at work after nearly 20years within the NHS. Emergency care is completely broken and in free-fall, as are the staff. My heart goes out to our poor poor patients, today I couldn’t look them in the eye. #weareNOTok@RCollEM

The complete solution doesn’t lie within the health system. To truly manage winter pressures, we need to tackle wider public health issues, such as keeping our elderly & vulnerable warm in winter, keeping them well fed, keeping them mobile & ensuring adequate social care.
This tragic case highlights why those who work for the #NHS need to be treated with the same respect, dignity & compassion their employers expect them to demonstrate towards patients.
