Stop judging people with chronic illnesses by how you think they should look or behave. Dr Amir Khan once again hits the nail on the head. #ME#chronicillness
Just had the creepiest scam ever happen 20 minutes ago.
I got a call from my wife telling me she forgot her wallet and needed the credit card to pay for her gas.
Except my wife was at home with me, and drives a Tesla. Same voice, bit... off, weird cadence but 100% sounded just like her. If she wasn't there, and it wasn't about gas I would have fallen for it.
I entertained it for awhile to get more out of it, I was so confused. Must be some sort of voice deepfake. The responses were too fast for ai, I think it was a voice filter. I wish I had thought to record it.
The future is about to get fucked. Warn your loved ones, do verbal passwords with your kids.
Bit taken aback
@DanielK13617598 @KatieMiller Babies are wonderful! But what reality is this $5500? That doesn't even cover the cost of prenatal care and childbirth - if mom and baby survive in a country with the highest rates of maternal and infant mortality. Mothers and children need a healthy, supportive system 2 thrive!
@Realdammshar@Paul_L_OBrien I'm sorry that is your experience. I work prn for a faith-based Hospice company and that's not how we care for our pts.
That is what my Stepmother was experiencing, so we changed to a different Hospice agency. π€π
Apologies for any typos.
It's late and my arthritis.π€¦ββοΈ
@Paul_L_OBrien switch hospices if you aren't happy with one. It's your choice who you use as long as their licensed in your county. I recently helped my Dad Switch my Stepmother's Hospice care. They are in PA and I'm in GA.
I will pray for you and your mother. ππππ Best to you both.
@Paul_L_OBrien Paul, I don't know you, but I pray for your health. ππππ Just a thought- please meet with a local Hospice agency to see if your mother meets admission criteria. If she cannot walk without assistance and has become incontinent, she may be eligible. Hospice is not custodial π§΅
@Paul_L_OBrien Disease (people with AD) for upwards of 2.5 years on hospice.
Please think about this additional assistance - it may be the answer. ππ
Many people are afraid to start Hospice care, but it doesn't mean a quicker demise, but better quality of life while here. You can also π§΅
@Paul_L_OBrien care, but supplemental/supportive care. Hospice supplies diapers, pads, hospital bed, wheelchair, comfort medications, an aide to bathe her, a nurse to visit, along with chaplain and social worker, and much more. Hospice is covered by Medicare 100%. I've care for Alzheimer's π§΅
@Zoyag9fc Hysterectomy = uterus; Oophorectomy = ovaries;
Salpingectomy = fallopian tubes;
Thus, a total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy = removal of uterus, cervix, both fallopian tubes and both ovaries. #Yes,wehavetoask. Lol
