@WombleBexy And going to boarding school must have left a huge emotional mark for you. And I feel for you. As I couldn't under any circumstances leave my children. I know some who have left the children at boarding school. And both have severe issues.
And its a long way forward

@pompeyanne The difference is due to adoption. As an adoptee we feel all and every loss. Infinity more than non adoptees. A 7yr old is not able to verbalise feelings to any depth. Add adoption, trauma, grief, rage and you have a huge issue.
Please talk to adult adoptees. I remember being 7
