So for the first #30DaysWild I went to a local nature reserve, @DawsHallNature I am very jealous of their wildflower meadow which is full of #yellowrattle.

There is a great show of Fritillaries and Primroses in the garden and many signs of spring across the reserve.

Last Wednesday was our Home Education Session, where we looked at birds and made bird feeders.

The highlight of our bird walk was the pair of Red Kites, now a regular sight over the reserve, but this crow was not as happy as us to see them, and tried to to chase them away!

Our last 2 Snowdrop Sundays of the year are on the 12th and 19th.

The management team were treated to wonderful views of a hunting Hobby over the scrape last week.

These falcons hunt dragonflies and small birds, and migrate South to Africa in Winter

A Common Darter Dragonfly basking in the Autumn sun.

This species is often the last to be flying each year, we had one as late as 25th November last year!

In our Home Ed session today we looked at Rivers.
We measured the water quality with meters and caught freshwater creatures.
We used the findings to see which was cleaner, with the brook being much cleaner!
We also had a bonus fly over from a Hobby!

We have a number of activities this Summer Holiday including a day with pond dipping, crafts and minibeast hunts, a day of outdoor cooking, animal tracking and orienteering and an Evening Bat Walk.
