Hello Twitter family I am here to ask y'all a favor to share this tweet across all your socials as I am about to share a story that has been one of the saddest and sensitive topic in my family that is my missing aunt from my mom side.
መልካም አዲስ ዓመት to all those celebrating Ethiopian New Year! May God grant Ethiopia a tranquil and prosperous year with progress on internal peace, transitional justice, and national reconciliation so the great nation can move forward on its destiny.

It has been over a month since more than 160 students traveling from Amhara Region were abducted for ransom by Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) militants in North Shewa Zone of Oromia Region. Families of students are being forced to pay ransoms of over 500,000 birr into bank accounts. Yet not only has the Oromo Prosperity Party regime lied about securing their release but has demonstrated no effort to help free the hostages. At a glance, the regime appears fully complicit in this mass abduction and in others across Oromia.

Infographics of this dataset have been kicking around on the internet for years. It is an insult to real scientists everywhere. For every 10 likes, I will post a new ridiculous fact about how fake and ridiculous this "data" is.
@TheStrangerEth I have had the misfortune of following all the events since the Tigray war. I suggest you reflect on all decisions made by gov since then coupled with the plight of the people of the region.
At least 45 civilians were killed by Ethiopian troops in the Amhara region last month, the country's human rights watchdog says.
The Ethiopian government has not yet commented on the killings.
The US and EU are calling for an independent investigation.
