Angel as number one option got 23 wins in 2 years and then got traded for 2 projected late 1st rd picks. The fact that you bring up college and off season accomplishments tells me everything. Only accomplishments Angel got in the pros are rebounding. Angels offense is way worse than Caitlin’s defense
I’m not saying it doesn’t matter. All I’m saying is you can be so bad on offense that you can find yourself benched and then you’re not playing offense or defense. Angel is not a great player she’s a role player. And she’s not great on defense. She’s a horrible paint defender as a big, Caitlin even averages more blocks than her. She’s lazy on PnRs and doesn’t move her feet very well. She has good moments like every player and that’s it. She was on the team with last place defense last season. Caitlin is great enough on offense where her defense isn’t as needed as Angel needs it. You talking about a turnover machine when Angel is averaging more currently and has the ball way less than her. That is very bad
So you’re justifying 33% with only 1 shot away from the rim. She does not get truly doubled team. I can show you missed layups this year wide up open including the potential game winner game one. If catches a rebound in the paint then the paints gets crowded but no one’s sending an extra man to defend her get rid of the ball because they are scared of her scoring
No reread what I said. I said easy buckets. Meaning open layups. Being unplayable on offense will decrease your minutes because the way teams can take advantage of it. Only having range at the rim makes it hard enough and not even being good at the rim will find yourself on the bench
