@Tony_Scott11 Definitely a talent. Unsure he’ll ever score enough goals though to become a Gerrard for example. Neat and tidy and loved to be proven wrong but he’s not a match winner from what I’ve seen.
@JezClein On a separate note. Despite our “awful” recruitment. You’d struggle to name 3/4 players out of our 18 man squad right now who have been bad buys. Especially from the position we bought some of them in.
@JezClein Armstrong, George. Dibling, Alcaraz all catching splinters for the last 7 games last season. Must have either been a crazy few months of PEDs or it was a wasted opportunity…..
@JezClein Heard a comment before about “announcing himself as an Everton player” with a slide tackle. Crazy the expectations on the lad who has hardly played for a year yet all everyone needed was a slide tackle 🤣
@TheRobVera Dibling MOM but it’s not the craziest shout to suggest that with more game time, Alcaraz could even replace the 5 goals and some from Ndiaye? (Not comparing the two btw, just on goals scored!)
@TheRobVera The way our fringe players are assumed “not good enough” when they’re still so young astounds me. We have average players in front of them we consistently complain about too
@MattJFootball I agree. It’s not like it’s now Ndiaye keeping him out the team either. Surely if the pick is now Johnson or Dibling it’s too close to ignore one. Diblings ceiling looks way higher
@AndyHE29 We’re a fanbase that magnify missed chances like no other. Everyone misses chances, Haaland, mbuemo, mateta, Pedro. Ours miss one or two and it’s the first thing we mention. We focus on them like every other striker buries everything
4 games in and it seems similar to last year in that there’s a lot of average teams. Lots of close games and Europe up for grabs again for those who maybe try and take a risk or two
Had a great day today in a charity golf day with never stop water an the privilege of listening to Kerry o Keefe. Some unbelievable stories but also some real humility about sportsman compared to today. Let’s hope test cricket survives
@JezClein We must be an agents dream. Is there an agency for ex Everton players? I’m struggling for words. The irony in the two most loved players of the last ten years ending up at spurs, and then selling one back, and paying his uber, tells us a lot about our fans opinions on players….
@NeilMorris18 You probably said the same about Ndiaye last week, who has just signed for spurs. And Richarlison too a few years back, who then signed for spurs. They’d have gone elsewhere if they were paid more. Everything which is wrong with the club and then we moan we’re mediocre.
