There was fighting in Warrington before the stadium even opened. Both sets of fans had individuals that should have been booted out before things escalated. No hot drinks available in the west stand probably resulted in more alcohol being drank to keep warm.

Last night, Nick Gregson was found guilty by an independent Operational Rules Tribunal of historical tweets using unacceptable language dating back to 2012.

He was suspended for eight matches, five of which have been suspended for two years.

He will begin a three-match suspension immediately.
