Day in Clay
Where creativity, culture, and clay intersect
@polk_street Very impressed with the clay work.
Who said that creativity could not be accomplished virtually.
Special thanks to your great PTA, Mr. Trotta and Mr. T. for their perseverance in making this happen
Best.

Artist in Residence.
@c_psaros@polk_street Thanks so much. It was a joy working with everyone and look forward to seeing you all in person next year. Great effort by students and the clay work looks great.

6th graders had a fun time during the “Day in Clay” workshop!
Students learned about the pottery making process and some designs from ancient Greece.
Way to go @polk_street and @DayInClay
Was a joy to bring Virtual Day in Clay to Fishkill Elementary this past week. So glad we could continue this tradition of artist-in-residence programs with this year's 5th grade students. A special thanks to Ms. Fletcher and the PTA for helping to bring this to life! #dayinclay
Had a great time engaging w/ Lee Road Elementary's wonderful students, who took part in the multicultural Day in Clay Webinar this past week. It wouldn't have been possible without the faculty and staff's support!! #dayinclay
A big thank you to the PTA members, art teachers, art coordinators, and principals that helped to make this year of Day in Clay possible, and allowed it to run so smoothly.
I wanted to reflect on and acknowledge the great work that has been created by students in various Day in Clay programs this year.
Highlighted here is African mask making, the multicultural potter's wheel program, Native American vessel making, and the creation of a tile mural.
Thank you to the teachers and staff at Plaza Elementary School - Ms. Vota, Vicmarie Sookdeo & PTA, Mr. Gray, Andre Poprilo, and Ms. Kourie - for making this first launch so successful.
Successful first day of the Day In Clay virtual webinar at Plaza Elementary!
The students were attentive, engaged, and had great questions after the program.
