@santanderukhelp Hi, after over 30 years loyal to Barclays, despite branch closures etc. It is finally too much when they took my overdraft safety net away 'because I never use it!'.
If I join Santander, do you give small overdraft facility?
@MartinSLewis
Hey Martin, Barclays Bank removing account overdraft due to not using it. Happy to have it reduced but refused. 40 years loyalty, no local branch now, and now no overdraft cushion if account falters. Terrible service for customers who are loyal and manage finance.
@GigglyBFC @dcracy3 @MartinSLewis@ofgem @KwasiKwarteng My smart meter shows the standing charge. By 1am I have the SC showing against gas and separately against electricity. About 65p per day total at present.
It was great to meet with Simon Healey, Chair of the Tees Valley Learning Provider network today whilst presenting an update about the matrix Standard Review.

@Lianne35600398@MartinSLewis @YourSSE Yep! Just been arguing with Scottish Power. Could not take a reading on 31st March. Now they have estimated it and hiked my monthly DD by 103%. They just say I'm using more energy, but I have lowered thermostat and smart meter shows using less! Agggh!
@MoneySavingExp We use dehumidifier. Put cloths from washing machine on before bed and well dry in the morning.
Used to spend £6 on dryer at launderette for less clothes. Smart meter shows about £1 to dry an airer full over night. Do invest in a big dehumidifier. We use Inventor Eva ii pro.
@itvMLshow Should tell people they will have to pay up if they agree to turn up and don't. Especially as she said the couple always do this. So own fault
@MartinSLewis Martin recently highlighted changes to Costa loyalty. Found out today that if you buy discounted item, eg old cake, they do not give you your bean for drinks. Tip - buy discounted items in separate transaction to get your beans.
Energy - are we mugs?
#MartinLewis@MartinSLewis We save energy, LED lights, insulation, etc. As our usage goes down, surely energy firms just hike the price to maintain profit? When oil / gas are gone, electric suppliers with high rates are laughing? Any controls to protect us?
We are currently reviewing the matrix Standard after 10 years in it's current form and we are looking for companies to take part in the pilot.

@NSCSLtd This is such an important subject. If we understand why people may be acting as they are, we can be more compassionate and supportive. Well done N&SCS
@MartinSLewis Always used Samsung and buy the phone until last renewal wanted approaching £1k. Got Motorola with dual SIM for quarter the price, super fast charge, and battery lasts twice as long as previous Samsung. Also Motorola keeps updating Android to latest. I'm sold.
@MartinSLewis So is this where small company directors who lost out on the self employment payments, can now keep money in the business, Directors Loan Account, and the business act as their bank and pay them a decent percentage interest, thus cutting corporation tax? Just a thought.
@santanderukhelp Thank you. I use ESET protection, but with so much hacking going on, it seemed less secure than when using a Sentry type device, to get in. Hopefully all will be ok. Have a good evening. 😀
@santanderukhelp Thank you. But surely if somebody has access to view my accounts and transactions, they could then carry out phone conversation with the bank which would seem authentic.
@santanderukhelp
hi, thank you. I have a question. When I log into my business account the security does not seem very strong. All it asks me for is my ID number and a code which is the same every time. Please advise how this is secure.
