Justice Nagarathna is the only judge of the SC Collegium who opposed this skewed elevation favouring a single state. However all other judges of SC Collegium have chosen otherwise.

Result: Judges from Gujarat will be Supreme Court CJs between 2028 and 2033 affecting regional representation.
