About to go back to my Apple Watch.
Fitbit was bought by Google. The other day my app and watch had a major Google transition update. Now my watch dies in just under 48 hours without using GPS or music. 😑
Also, the app update looks awful.
Happy birthday, Maya Lin! In 1981, at the age of 21, Lin won the competition to design the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on the National Mall. Her innovative design changed the way we think of memorials and became a powerful place of remembrance and healing.
Derek asked me “List the top 6 reasons why you’re excited to move back to Korea.” It took me a moment but the reflection was comforting.
(In no particular order of importance…)
1.) Parks! Everywhere~
2.) Cafes! Also everywhere, and the kinds you are happy to chill at.
Not actually being near loved ones, on top of feeling generally uneasy exploring solo, has me never wanting to move back if I had the choice. My mind might change, but rn I’d choose living in Korea until Derek retires and just visiting the US for a month once or twice a year.
Having to always plan out who/what/when just to casually hang out has been immensely draining. Especially while getting my Associates degree. And it’s literally no one’s fault. Just the way it is that no one lives less than 30min away, everyone is 1hr+.
When I get home from being social even when I genuinely had a wonderful time, I’m uneasy.
Am I one of those people who is too much, or sometimes not enough?
I know it shouldn’t matter like this.
It feels like I’m starving for validation & joy with a surplus of general criticism.
On this day I experienced heat exhaustion for the first time.
I swear from now on I will drink lots of water, every day.
Or else.
Hike was dope tho. Frfr.
