📌 Last week, I wrote about navigating relationships and #IBD during the pandemic for @ownyourcrohns. And, a special thanks to @RW_Intl because this is his story, too. https://t.co/Hs043nZ0px
This is GARBAGE - for your "doctor to reassess your treatment plan." CVS is asking the doctor to RE-PRESCRIBE every 90 days for a disability/health condition that ISN'T GOING TO CHANGE. It is making people w/ #disabilities' lives needlessly harder & risking their health.
A letter my son rec'd last month from CVS inviting him to a webinar about bleeding disorders...
And a letter rec'd today telling him they're going to make it harder to get a med he needs FOR HIS BLEEDING DISORDER.
Hey CVS, here's a "tip": Patients can't live without their meds.
HEY! It's Pride! I want to talk about the intersections between the queer and disabled communities, so I'm starting #30DaysOfDisabledPride . Each day there will be a question for y'all to answer. Please quote RT and use the hashtag when answering!
I was asked to make a list of Sensory Sensitive Hair Items and products for Black people that might assist hospitals and organizations. I thought I would share here too.

Excited and sad to see the last of the #disability stories up at PBS. This one is about #deaf racer and stuntwoman Kitty O'Neil - the fastest woman in the world. https://t.co/7dl8FudGCC

I'm RT b/c housing is a human right and narratives from those most impacted are critical. Also, the woman in this photo is Luci Murphy. Everyone should know she's a DC-based legend, activist, organizer, teacher, singer, leader and brilliant human.
Regardless of your opinion about opening or not opening because of COVID-19, paid family medical leave is about protecting families. It is about giving families the ability and resources to take care of each other.
How many of the more than 250,000 COVID-19 deaths could have been prevented if our healthcare systems made it possible for people with disabilities to live and age at home? #COVID19#WhatWeNeed
